Looks like Richmond and MS State could easily change into Q1 wins if they get finish strong.

This is all talking head garbage. In one sentence they hype up sdsu for winning against utah, utah state and byu and in the next they attack auburn for a weak schedule. Based on kenpom, only the byu rank is ahead of any that we have and only by about 10 spots (ncsu). We make the media uncomfortable. Continue winning and they will hop on board.

Based on KenPom, San Diego St has 4 games that classify as 'Tier A,' the top tier. SDSU has 6 games total in Tier A+B

For comparison, Auburn has only 1 'Tier A' game (@MSU) and 5 games total in Tier A+B

You have to go back to Barbee's first season for the last time AU did not play a OOC 'Tier A' KenPom opponent before Conf play started

MSU is definitely possible, as conf play should hopefully help NET rankings for many SEC schools.

Richmond is probably a longshot in the A10, especially with a strong top tier in VCU/Dayton with some solid middle tier.

It's incredible that this team is winning so differently. Speaks volumes to Bruce's ability as a coach to adapt to his players.

We're actually averaging more ppg this year while making 3 less 3 pointers a game.

What am I missing - ESPN says we have a 90% chance to beat Georgia on Saturday. Given that UGA just beat Memphis and has the best true freshman in he country, these numbers don’t make any sense to me

Interesting observation so I quickly looked at some relevant KenPom Stats (See below). Some quick takes based on the stats

1- We are playing at a significantly faster pace to the tune of 8 poss per game. I'm surprised by the magnitude

2- We are one of the best off rebounding teams in the country... still suck on defense

3- Our huge dropoff in 3FG% is offset by a significant increase in 2FG%

4- FT shooting is holding us back in a considerable way

Adj Tempo

2018-19: 67.9 #155
2019-20: 71.8 #75

eFG%

2018-19: 54.4% #34
2019-20: 53.1% #49

2FG%

2019-20: 56.8% #4

FT Att per FG Att

2018-19: 30.9 #240
2019-20: 41.6 #15

3FG%

2018-19: 38.1% #21
2019-20: 32.2% #207

Point Distribution (% total Pts)

2018-19:
3FG 43.4% #7
2FG 39.8% #349

I'm assuming he is talking about defensive rebounding, since that was the point it was in reference to.

Yeah & Wisky choked on Richmond in New York so we didn't get the opportunity at that Quad 1 win.

I was speaking to defensive rebounding where our 70.9% Drebounding% is only ranked #210 nationally
