No team in the country has two proven every down backs with as much talent as jovon Robinson. In other words, everybody would be hurt if they lost their proven #1.

Bitching about our RB depth ignores the reality of college football today.

basically playing only 2 spots most of the time since we're mainly in nickel.

I really wish yall would stop promoting this falsehood. Bama, Arky, LSU, UGA are all run heavy teams. We are not going to be playing nickle against those teams. We could not stop them last year using 3 LBers, why could we stop them with only 2 now?

couldnt agree more. I cant remember a team that was as bad off at LB as we are for anywhere near as long as we have been. until we put some emphasis on fixing it we will continue to get anal raped by teams like that with big RBs running behind a TE and a FB.

I agree to an extent... but other than the lsu game early in the season, the defense kept us in the other three games you listed, while the offense generally played like crap.

Auburn finished 47th nationally in YPP last season.... a significant improvement over 2014. We have a bunch of seniors to replace, especially at LB, but hopefully Steele can build on the foundation Muschamp and Co. laid... we'll see.

Nobody is bitching dude. Its just a conversation. Im not sure who here would have a lot of confidence in Roc as our every down back.

If you cant discuss these things without getting all upset, maybe you should stick with just reading.

What the frick is wrong with some of you. A simple discussion is just a bitch fest.

Unless I am mistaken, it was a discussion about depth. Depth being what we have behind our starters that we feel good about.

Tailback being a position where injuries seem to happen more frequently, Its a position of concern since were really only seem to have one candidate for that position. That being Robinson who we all seem to think will be fantastic.

Now, if for some reason he is not playing (there are plenty of reasons) do we really feel like Roc, based on what we have seen from him, can be our goto, feature back with the type of offense we run? My opinion is NO. He has not shown the ability to pound the ball inside with any consistency without fumbling or spinning himself out of the hole.

Just the long version of what was said earlier

I guess "New Lanier" is just being a dick. So embrace New Lanier

I agree with you about Roc.

Not to pile on, but didn't he get hurt a good bit as well?

That spinning drove me crazy. Although he did seem to do less of it.

Ins't K Johnson hurt, or did I misread that?

Not sure about JOHNSON. I believe JOHNSON will do great things for us but I don't see it being pounding the rock inside down after down.

Roc may come out and surprise us but I will wait to believe that. He remind me of Trovon Reed. All the tools, just hasn't put it together.

I don't have a problem with Roc Thomas' spinning. I do have a problem with his lack of ball security and his hesitancy to cut it up the field instead of dancing around.

Thomas was hurt in high school a good bit, but he played in 12 games last year. Kerryon is out this spring with a shoulder injury IIRC.

Thomas has the potential to be an EDB... he needs more touches, and he'll get them now that he's the clear #2.

Since KJ got injured i believe. Roc is an upperclassman behind JR...Next is a true freshman and two FBs. So yeah, i would say he is second on the pecking order
