Ah, that point in the offseason where we wonder if our defense is that good or our offense sucks

Lots of great news about spring. Most pleasant surprise, the talk about the interior DL wont be a liability given how thin we looked.
One thing that seems to be emerging on some podcasts Mason Murphy struggling some with pass protection. That was the knock on him before.
With Chaplin out for the spring Im certain we got looks at the other fellas and some reps, wonder if one will flip to the right side come fall?

Yeah understand what you are saying but I think it will be different this year. I believe that we now have a couple of slingers on the roster that have good arms and can put the ball where needed. Probably both need a little more polishing but I believe we are on track this year for the first time in years.

And pass the wine.
Going to act like I'm from Missouri this year... no more free ride. They/he/we got to earn the right to speak up in public this go round.

Just found out A Day is today but not being televised. WTH?
Posted on 4/12/25 at 6:43 am to MrAUTigers
It’s a 1 hour practice. It’s not a true A-Day. Seems only a few teams are doing televised scrimmages this spring

Freeze has repeatedly said, why dont we do away with spring ball and move it to June, lots of good reasons.
He read off the list of people "injured" it was about a dozen guys. Guys coming from high school, do a physical and need some minor surgery. Our returners who need some surgery, etc. If it was summer they would have healed enough to participate, spring is a waste for them.
Some kids arrive in the summer and miss the spring.
Last portal is after spring and you lose some guys and get some guys, who dont have a chance to practice.
Lots of good reasons.

UTenn just told Nico to kick rocks! We got a good deal in Arnold!
I’m glad collectives are putting a cap on the absurdity NIL wishes.

A day is dead, now its just a day, and paranoia killed it.
I like how the reason is because coaches are worried other teams might find out about their players... as we sit here discussing insider info from 247, ON3 and personal connections, like other teams don't have access to that same info lol.

The portal will open up soon, its not just poaching, its players looking to "renegotiate" their current arrangement if they showed out in a spring game.
Its a business now folks, it never stops, heck our current commits are shopping taking visits, Im certain some of our players are looking to make us a stepping stone if the price is right. Heck Amaris Williams had six tackles for the season and he went shopping. Nothing like being a training camp for other teams.....ask Tennessee.

That can already happen. You don't think Sam Turner couldn't do something like that right now with the hype he's been getting? Its impossible to hide players.
Looks like most of the fans agree, because the stadium is empty today.

U.S. continuing to have a-day on Masters weekend has baffled me. I’m shocked we get the turnout we do when there is actually a game. With no game and just practice, yea I’m not shocked it’s empty.

Stay in your lane Jville. Don’t know if the board can handle you pimping for 2nd string QB’s and 2nd string WR’s

tell us more jville. what did the practice look like.

Why did you quote yourself in that Perry is “killing” it today? Because you previously said you wanted him to work out?
I hope it works out for him as well. Question is who is he “killing it” against??

Jackson Arnold had a minor leg injury Thursday and did not play.
Perry Thompson caught two very tough passes it sounds like for TDs. And the quote said "he dominated 7 on 7 and during the live portion as well.
Duece did well til the end and then threw 2 ints, sounds like one to Fegans and the other to Winters.
Gentry is outdoing himself, not only best dressed, now he has added the little ballerina move into the endzone, well done sir.
Edit: Perry had 3 touchdown catches yowsir.
