Correct. We can get up in arms about OTV registration numbers but look at the fact that we have one guy willing to donate $250k for every 1000 registrations we have. 1000 registrations is a whopping $34k. For context that is one person willing to give more than 7 times the amount that 1000 people are going to give.

Registration numbers look good from an optics standpoint but most of that money is going to operations and is a drop in the bucket compared to the impact the big dogs will have.

Per the OTV website 90% of the money goes straight to the student-athletes.

I think AA is pointing out that fan money essentially covers that 10% overhead in the grand scheme of things.

Even in this specific example where a booster is essentially dumping 7x the money that 1K new OTV subs might provide.

Welcome to the reality that is most every other NIL across the country. The monthly donors are funding the day-to-day and salaries of the employees. Maybe there is a little left over to throw towards a baseball/softball/soccer player or two. The big money donors that used to send 7 figure checks to tigers unlimited might now split it up between tuf and otv.

If you go back and look at the $30MM in 3 drive otv did last year, they claimed they had exceeded the $10MM in just over a month. Just because the "membership" is low doesn't mean the money isn't coming in.

Now, should the collective have more "members"? Of course. Like Corch said, if there is a bigger presence at GameDay collecting a few dollars off of the 85k people 6 times a year, that's nearly half a mil just as a buffer to offset the regular "membership" donations.

I suggest a tip or round up function at the concession stands.

The registration fees can go well beyond the $34 a month. There are multiple other higher tier options that people could subscribe to. If you can afford to take your family to multiple Auburn games a year then you can AT LEAST give the bare minimum per month and should probably be giving more if you want to see us start winning again.

Would be a great idea. As much as I hate these kind of things in regards to retail, they work and would be a great option for something like this.

For sure. Every other company in Auburn (along with everywhere else across the country) asks. At least it would go to something we care about.

I don’t care what people do with their money. But if you are spending 30 minutes a day on a fan message board I would say you’re pretty die hard about the teams. If the die hard aren’t bought in I don’t know how you get the casuals.

I would guess there are 30-35k die hard fans that in someway follow everything Auburn daily.

No, I would never suggest to another man what they should do with their money. I understand many here have put untold amounts of money into Auburn coffers in the past, and may plan to put more in the future. I get it. But like you said, it's obviously something many here are passionate about, why not throw a few bones into the mix?

Hell, my OTV money is a drop in the bucket but I feel it has done more than my TUF money ever did for the few years I donated.

Bingo. It obviously helps to have more money, but to have the money it takes to compete at the highest level it’s going to take some fat checks.

Also I get there are higher OTV levels than the $34 but they’ve also added the $17 one and if you averaged out subs it’s going to be much closer to $34 than $88.

Again, if we banking on fans paying $17-88/mo to sustain our NIL then we are screwed. Those subs allow all the big money guys to know that their money is actually going directly to players.

If half the die Auburn hards contribute SOMETHING then we should be good. Some folks are just anti giving ANYTHING which is their right, just understand this is the norm of today. Auburn has given me so many positive memories over the years, so I'll gladly give a few dollars a month to experience more.

If the average Joe money only covers operating expenses what's the point of otv at all? The big donors were already giving

It's been passed along, we shall see if its implemented. It may have to be done through Sodexo or whoever is contracted for the concessions and not directly through AU. Not sure on the particulars of any barriers but I am sure there are some hurdles

All the streaming services are laughing all the way to the bank charging less per month to subscribers.

Don’t know if they could ever get 20-50K subscribers but that would be significant on a per month basis. Do we still need the deep pocket guys, sure but that number of subscribers would go way beyond the 10% admin fees.

Do you really think we need that many to provide 500K-1M per month? That’s all I’m saying. Not looking for billions, well I wouldn’t mind billions.

50K at 17 is 800K per month. That could pay for a few baws
