What were the recruit services seeing in Deuce?
He has a Cam like stride but he may be playing for his opponent....

Down 10 after Knight fumbled.. They went down and kicked a fg, got an onside, and then tied it up with 10 seconds left. Knight ran in the last TD.

Well that makes more sense. The MaxPreps site says 30-100

Extra points in OT are dumb as hell.

It was a wild ending for sure. Idk where we are on Antonio Coleman from Saraland but we need to be on top of him. He was a menace all night in the backfield and forced a huge fumble for Saraland too.

Amon Lane is not SEC caliber. Just sayin. No way his ranking holds up. I’ve been saying since last year he wasn’t good. He still isn’t good. He must look like a superstar in 7v7 or something.

Agreed on Amon. I saw him last year and hardly knew he was on the field. As a corner, maybe that means they’re not throwing to his side of the field, but he didn’t show up in any other phases of the game either. I expect a kid with sec offers to be a difference maker.

Amon read a nice dump pass on a flat route made a tackle, grinding his face mask on the player he tackled face mask . Should have been flagged. Broke up a go route but was under thrown, Amon does the incomplete signal, acts like he dusts himself off, and then does the fake sheathing of a sword, very next snap on 4th and 10 leading 28-17 with 5 minutes to go gets Moss’d in the corner of the endzone. Pell City has zero WRs.
Sydney Walton and Chase Jackson can play circles around Amon in the secondary. Add on top of it Amon can’t be much taller than 5’8”. He is tiny.
He’s stuck with Auburn and when he gets to campus I will definitely pull for him but he is not good at all. Does nothing on the field most games.
I apologize for going over this over and over but not good. Not good at all.

Amon Lane, Jayden Lewis, and to an extent Collins are all very lucky to be committed to Auburn. At least Lewis is super fast.

I hate to be a contrarian, but this guy doesnt deserve a scholly??
quote:
The Anniston Bulldogs opened their season with a 38-22 win over Wellborn Friday night and Auburn’s 4-star cornerback commit Jayden Lewis put his athleticism on display, returning the second-half kickoff 70 yards to the house, recording a punt return for a touchdown, a receiving touchdown, a pick 6 and a successful two-point conversion.
Maybe he doesnt make sammiches for the team at halftime?

I think we have some fans who now believe if a guys not a top 150 player then he’s not worth taking.
Might be time to fire up the “is it better to have a coaching staff that are elite recruiters or elite developers” argument again.

I am cruious about current commits regarding QB. What happened with Air Noland? I thought he was a huge Auburn fan and Im not sure we even offered, we certainly didnt seem to pursue him. Granted he played on a fantastic team, but he also played at the highest level of GA football. 4,000 passing yards, 55 TDs 4 INTs and 73% accuracy, and now an Ohio State Commit.
Walker White, Arkansas, much less competition and a 55% completion rate. I hear, its just mechanics and fixable, if thats true, then Ashford would be Dan Marino by now.
Not being a smart arse, just wondering what was wrong with Air. Stats dont dictate bad performance. So I figured it was grades or some personal "issues" then Ohio State picked him up.
Any insights?
