Airbus built a manufacturing plant in the old French capital of Mobile to build really cool jets.

Delta, who employs a ton of auburn grads as pilots, recently made a big order for 85 of the 192 seat A321s. About a dozen or so have been delivered from Europe but the first one built for Delta in Mobile just came off the line and is completing tests before a Dec 2 delivery to Minneapolis.

Airbus asked Delta if it could be used in the fly over at the IB and it will be.

Right after it flies over, auburn will commence fricking Alabama over. Over?

Good things come from Mobile.

Mobile is my city and I recognize it's shitty aspects. But I love it here and can't imagine leaving the rivers/bay/gulf. It's pretty cool that we're building planes now too.

Man I hope Auburn gets its nose in that tent down there. I just googled to see and it looks like they sort of have...

At Auburn, Airbus’ donation of an elevator, a tail section of its A330 twin-engine jet airliner, is being used as a valuable teaching tool, said Joe Majdalani, chair of the university’s Department of Aerospace Engineering.

Cool.
