Believe me I know, it's hard to get engaged with basketball really heating up but opening weekend is here. I will multi-task for the next few weeks and enjoy seeing Butch and the boys get back at it. As usual, the SEC will be very tough and is well represented in pre-season rankings.

I think they were/are cutting it close on completing the first base enhancements and the war eagle wall viewing/terrace. Looking forward to catching a game or two and seeing the renovations/additions. The picture updates look great.

Even if you don't plan on following till after March (or at all), cross your fingers for better pitching this year.

AU vs Holy Cross - Friday 6:00 pm cst at Plainsman Park

I’ll of course be watching. Hopefully we’ve resolved out pitching issues.

And I’m glad SEC Net+ is carrying so I don’t have to do that “flocollege” bullshite lol

I am actually going to be in town this week and I want to attend the Tuesday game vs Troy - time is TBA. When should they announce start time?

I’m excited for the program to see what Butch has done to stabilize the pitching staff.

Reports coming out of winter is we have a little more pop in the lineup. And we should be solid up the middle on defense.

Defense is always about how good your pitching is, how good your catcher is, you 2 middle infielders, and your centerfielder. You’re solid there you have a chance to be a good defense.

Our MIF was a disaster last yr so I really hope so.

I think we’ll be able to hit, will need to build some P depth.

2-1 good guys through 4. Fl transfer Cade Fisher got the start and went 3.1 scoreless. Cam Tilly in. I’m behind, on family vacation.

Cade Belyeu hammers a solo bomb. Kid playing after losing his mom this morning (to cancer I believe). Good for him.

Tigers up 3-1 through 6.

Way to start off with the right foot. Like dad always says any ride back home safely is a good ride (motorcycle). Same can be said with regards to W's in baseball, their all good. I'll take them anyday compared to the alternative.

Our pitching looked good. HC hasn't been on the field yet so that may have had something to do with it. HC kept themselves in the game with great D. That's amazing seeing as how they have been practicing indoors. Good start for our bunch. I noticed Gabe wasn't in the third base coaching box today.

I was happy for Belyeu. I can't even imagine what was going through that kids head today. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Such an incredible moment for Cade. I assumed he broke down afterwards and being with his brothers probably brought a lot of comfort.
