Agree but at what level is he going to recruit. I think a lot of people are convinced we're going to be swimming in 5 stars if he came and that's a pipe dream. We'll have top 10 classes and a coach with no experience with x's and o's plus he's a terrible culture fit. Might as well just hire Caddy if that's the goal. He'll recruit at a similar level and be a good fit. Like Sanders he'll be completely reliant on his coordinators

I believe he will hire who he believes is best for Auburn, not who has the biggest name or will make the biggest splash.
I'm going to hold out hope that we pull Freeze or one of these secret "super candidates" but it seriously feels like it's tilting towards melt status.
I was annoyed when we extended Malzahn and hired Harsin, but this will be the icing on the cake... we're about to miss on every top available coach this go round and there have been a few. Hopefully we pull it together and I can eat crow.

It must by systemic that auburn can’t close a deal with a coach unless that deal is to pay a buyout
