They did finish #1 for the ‘22 class but they’re #24 for the ‘23 class (so far, which obviously, doesn’t mean everything).

I agree with your point, though

one five star and zero high profile assistant coaches to Jax State.

I don’t understand why you assume he can’t coach. I certainly never said coaching was optional. I’d love to know what he cannot do that Harsin can do though.

We’re going to be paying more money. Might as well make our competition pay more too.

False comparison, Jang. I never said that Harsin could coach and I didn’t hire him.

But knowing the facts in front of you (Deion hasn’t proven shite and doesn’t truly have a stellar recruiting record), you don’t hire somebody who might can coach, like with Deion. You hire somebody who know can coach…with experience.

If I’m the boosters and I’m going to pay somebody close to $10 million a year, I’m not going to assume very much. I want a proven track record. Deion ain’t it.

Oh, I get it. I was of the mindset that when Auburn hired Chizik, they should have made a run at Saban. Just to bleed bama a little. And then every SEC school, whenever there was an opening, should have done the same thing. bama would be paying out the nose by now.

I’m guessing you were initially okay with the hire.

Well if he ever does prove his shite we will be too late. Please name the high upside coaches we can realistically pull? Deion cannot do much worse than the football department right now. He literally cannot. I believe the upside is way too high to not heavily consider him. If you seriously think we can get Aranda or Kiffin then please delight me.

I don’t have Prime on my list or much less at number 1 but for arguments sake would Tennessee have hired Peyton Manning straight out the NFL if he wanted to get into coaching? Would it have been a good decision?

I bet anything 99% of the fans and almost all of the media would have been googoo gaga over it.

One of the best at QB bs one of the best at CB.

So other than that what is the difference?

What would they be negatively recruiting?

If he can sell a 5* to go to SWAC, he can sell ice to the snowman.

I'm really starting to question your IQ. At the end of the day, 99.9% of high end recruit are looking towards the NFL. How many players has Sanders put in the NFL? If I'm coaching any other team in the SEC, I'm pointing that out to any recruit that is even REMOTELY considering signing with wherever Sanders is coaching. I'd also point out my resume, versus his. Without looking it up, I can't even tell you who is coaching at Vandy, but I'd bet everything I have, and everything I'll ever have, that his coaching resume makes Sanders look like a 16 y/o applying for his first job.

Prime has ten times the personality of Peyton and the pull to the typical 4* (we mostly have black teams). No brother cares about Peyton. We can debate about whether he has enough coaching ability all day long, but I’d be willing to bet he coaches better than you think. He was great in football and baseball and I highly doubt he wants to be attached to bad teams. Having a solid pedigree or having a solid resume can only open doors but they’re not necessary.

Lastly, I can sit here and give you a list of unrealistic options and sound as smart as the next guy. What’s so great about that?

Lots of coaches who's job is on life support bench their top RB and remain uncommitted to a QB

There are some seriously retarded people here, pushing for Deion Sanders. There are current high school coaches, tons of them, with a better resume than Sanders.

Think about it. He convinced a big time, high school aged kid, to sign with his school, and he does Aflac commercials with Saban and dances with a duck. That's his biggest accomplishments since his playing days. Stupid people want to give him the keys to one of the top programs in the country. These are the same people who know who won "The Bachelor" and "American Idol" but have no idea who their congressman is.

In his one year in SWAC? Is that the biggest negative recruitment tactic against him and you’re questioning my IQ?

Logic is out the window with these people. I surprised they haven't suggested we throw money at Saban.
