I get that we’re looking great right now, but people saying NC or bust may need to calm down. The tournament is a crap shoot. Yes, I’d be disappointed if we didn’t make a run with this team if we can stay healthy, but those kinds of expectations just aren’t compatible with the tournament.

I think we all understand it’s irrational but the heart wants what the heart wants. This team is so dang good any other result is gonna sting

In any case, I’m enjoying the heck out of every second of the ride to get there

Yeah… just enjoy it. We may never see another auburn team this good again… we all know the tourney is a crap shoot… the best team of the last 20 yrs (Kentucky 2015) lost in final four…. And we’re not to their level.

This is the most talented Auburn team I have ever seen. There is a long way to go, but it is fun as hell watching this bunch. Like Painter basically said after the game...............you have to pick your poison against our bunch. Stop two things and we have a third way.

It’s just so balanced . Athleticism and size at every position. Shooters 1-5 (except for Dylan).

It truly is “pick your poison” against us defensively right now.

That is what this team is so dangerous, there are so many weapons and you can’t just focus on one or two guys. And then just relentless defense.
As for the free throw shooting woes for Broome or Cardwell, they are actually much better than last year, but we just kind of have to live with it now. I don’t think teams will foul them like hack a Shaq but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a close game that teams would do that.

I think most people who watch basketball know that the tournament for the most part is about matchups. And how we are playing right now, it’s not unreasonable to think that this team is championship caliber.
In saying that too, come conference play, on the road, will be very difficult. Fouls will add up, the home teams will get every call and you’re guaranteed at least one guy to go off who you didn’t prepare for and hurt you, just like Duke. Also, the coaches in our league are familiar with our schemes and players, unlike our nonconference opponents, so it will be more important to shore up our weaknesses and we will also get everyone’s A+ game now. So yea, being realistic, it’s going to be rough in conference play, but overall picture, if we continue to improve and not be complacent, we should be contending for a national championship.

My Dad and Uncles went to Ensley, I spent a lot of time there when I was a kid. I think my Dad graduated in '72 and one of my Uncles would have been around '70 and the other around '80.
