I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Whether he develops into a star or not yeah maybe but he’s already capable of being a good defensive starter and lob threat. He would have played a lot more if not for Self’s marriage Hunter Dickinson.

I’d be thrilled if Flory was our starting 5 next year

Oh he’s a star. It’s just a question of what kind of players he’s going to be.

If we land him this is almost identical to our path with Walker Kessler. Narrowly lose out on him to a blue boood where he goes to play sparingly behind a veteran. Comes back home.. becomes an All American DPOY candidate?

Flory is athletic enough and has the wingspan to make up for only being 6’9. Believe he has a 7’2 wingspan.

That sounds encouraging. I was thinking we need another taller big for rebounding.

Exactly what I’ve heard - 7’2 wingspan.

As of right now, yes.

And supposedly some Euroleague kid named Omer Mayer.

How tall is Mayer? Never mind. I looked him up and he is a point guard. Still need a big.

Yes

Yaxel is Auburn, Michigan, Kentucky now. We’re pushing hard though.
Mostly Au/Michigan battle right now.
Flory’s name kind of cooling off a bit.

Jayden Quaintenance name is picking up some steam at the 5. 17 years old, decent player at Arizona State also former 5 star.

Coming off ACL surgery though. Has a HUGE upside.

Am I the only person that thinks we need a big closer to 7’. I would really like to see that happen.

So, was he 16 going into this season at Arizona State? I guess he could have just turned 17. Hell, he's young even for this recruiting cycle, much lost the last.

Scouting report notes: He’s 6-foot-9 with massively long arms (7-foot-3-plus wingspan), vertical athleticism, a strong frame, good hands, soft touch, shooting potential, natural face-up skill, and signs of a passing instinct. He also runs the floor well and is a solid rebounder when he commits himself. He’s also extremely young for the class. He won’t turn 17 until July of 2024.

I keep thinking if Florida has that 7’9” next year playing we could be in trouble.
