Watching the highlights. Two things I had forgotten.

1. King Dunlap was/is huge
2. Pat Lee picking up the fumble at the very end and running it in for a TD.

Rod Bramblett had some great calls in this game. I remember watching this game in Biloxi at a casino.

Our blocked punt TD was awarded the game-changing play of the year by whichever company put on that promotion...capital one maybe?

It may be the most fun I've ever had at an Auburn game. That place was rocking from the get. Loudest game, start to finish, I've been to.

yep. Probably the drunkest I've ever been at an Auburn game. No clue how I survived the whole game.

I got escorted out of a bar in West Palm Beach on Clematis Street as that game was ending.

I remember it was Halloween, they had the game up on a huge big screen projector and the bar was packed with Gators. I was losing my mind right in front of the screen from start to finish screaming myself hoarse like I was at the game. When we blocked the punt, started up with Bodda Getta cheer, then its great to be an AU Tiger. The Gator fans had had it and a fight was imminent but the bouncers stepped in and removed me, three buddies and the 3-4 girls that were with us. One of my buddies was a long time buddy that I was rooming with at the time that was a backup kicker for us back in the late 90's through 2001.

Good times were had. We continued getting smashed and raising hell up and down Clematis until about 5am.

Yep. Most fun I had at a game. I was sitting right at the edge of the Florida section. So much fun. Pat eke picked it up and ran it straight at us. I was on sports center that night too when tubs came back on the field to do the college gameday wrap up segment

I assume, then, you were too young for the '89 Iron Bowl?

We were accused of piping in crowd noise in this game I believe too.

This and the 2009 WVU rain game were definitely two of the loudest in recent memory. Such a fun game

Anyone with even the vaguest knowledge of the J-H sound system would know this isn't true.

With how bad oursound system is, probably would have somehow made it quieter not louder

Chris Leaks sphincter was fluctuating all night in that game. When the punt was blocked, Tre did that tumble jump into the endzone that now would be unsportsmanlike conduct.

Good times... Good Times.

i think we had lost to Arky the week before and i got so irritated i sold my Florid game tickets. Woke up that Saturday morning and it was gorgeous outside, told the wife get up and made the four hour trip with no expectations, never had more fun at a game than that one.

Unfortunately yes. I attended a game or two a year starting around 92-93 but didn't start going regularly until 97 when I was old enough to drive.

Yea Gameday was there and it was probably the lamest Gameday ever. A mixture of us being so down after the Arky loss and still hating them because 2004 was still fresh in the memories. I was worried what the game atmosphere would be like, turns out Gameday was the quiet before the storm.

i think everyone knew that punt was going to get blocked. you could feel the momentum completely in Auburn's favor and could see we were going after the punt. Kicker had no chance lol

At 1:53 on your link, Rod actually gives us a "there goes Davis." Weird.
