There were some folks on here that theorized Ewers would enter the portal in the off-season and that we potentially had a large bag for him set aside.

I don't think Ewers transfers anymore, I think it is his job until he doesn't want it now. There were rumors floating around a while back that his "team" had reached out to several teams including us.
My best guesses for Qb are Mateer, Jalon Daniels, Avery Johnson, or Miller Moss. I'm sure more names will pop up over the next few weeks.

Boy, Salter’s NIL portal potential really took a hit the last half of the season. Maybe Freeze can talk him into coming as depth behind the real transfer QB, if both Holden and Bocephus transfer.

Im certain our NIL deal would be competitive, and that receiving corp has to be enticing to any QB looking to improve their draft stock.
Of the names thrown out there Mateer certainly seems head and shoulders above the rest.
My biggest concern is the fact we have invested so much into recruiting both in effort and money, and these kids are getting a year older, we have to hit a home run with a transfer, and the other names mentioned here are not on a par with Thorne.

Who is the favorite at this point? I feel like the portal pool is not as talent field as years past.
