Interesting information.

I do believe that CHF should know that he must have decent QB play next year or he is gone. I know the five star QB McKnight is supposed to come to us if we can beat out Lane Kiffin’s latest efforts. However, it is very unlikely that a freshman QB is going to come in and perform at the level needed to save an SEC head coach’s job.

So, if CHF has some level of pragmatic common sense he will get a portal QB. The question is…..whom will it be?

Quinn Ewers, Texas
Noah Fifita, Arizona
Jackson Arnold, Oklahoma
miller Moss, USC

Are all names I have heard that sent feelers out to us this season.

I think Ewers ends up going pro though.

I’d be surprised if Ewers actually entered but him going first round isn’t near the lock it was to start the season.

Doesn't matter - even if he enters the portal, he's not coming to 4-win Auburn to try to improve his draft stock in his final year LOL.

Somehow, I think our coach is going to try to get an extra year of eligibility for Throne

We would be 1 loss or undefeated with Ewers this season.

Look at the scores of our games and tell me he's not worth 1-2 touchdowns per game vs. Throne.

Air Noland was high on us, out of Langston Hughes with a high 60s completion percentage at the highest level of HS. 7th ranked coming out of HS. He will be good for someone when he gets the chance, but he is not going to help us this fall he has no experience.

Freeze locked in on Walker White and Air ended up at Ohio State where the QBs are stacked like cordwood on the bench.

He was very good last year. Pretty middle of the road this year after a coaching change.

Also, talked to a guy this morning that says there is a small chance our Qb room next year is
1 year transfer
Deuce
Air Noland
Walker White.

Of course he knows and he has publicly stated as much. “Our 2025 QB is not currently on the Auburn roster”

Now …. how much of that is talk is for the purpose of recruiting is hard to say, but he knows without question.

My opinion is that we have a very anemic OL, … the 2nd worst in the conference in terms of production, and dead last in terms of depth.
If I’m CHF, my NIL focus is primarily on the LOS, for two reasons.

We MUST get our lines into the upper 40% of the SEC …. period. Production demands it, and if we want to avoid departures to the portal, our skill set players must be provided adequate reasons to remain at AU.

Just my dos centavos….

I feel better about Walker White contributing to Auburn at some point in the future than I ever did before today.

I hate he had the fumble but he ran the offense fairly well and had some nice north/south runs. He didnt seem rattled. I would have liked to see him get more time earlier in the game but he looked good out there.

That far sideline throw showed that WW has an NFL arm, but the end zone corner throw to Perry was not good. He can learn to have better touch. You can’t teach arm strength through. You either have it or you don’t.
