DEFENSE: 62 snaps
(Min. 15 snaps played)
PLAYER TEXAS A&M '22 GRADE SEASON '22 GRADE
DE/DT Colby Wooden 75.2 74.3
CB Nehemiah Pritchett 75.0 68.7
CB J.D. Rhym 74.7 67.6
CB Jaylin Simpson 71.5 73.5
NICKEL Keionte Scott 71.4 69.6

OFFENSE: 71 snaps
(Min. 15 snaps played)
PLAYER TEXAS A&M '22 GRADE SEASON '22 GRADE
RB Jarquez Hunter 81.1 74.6
TE Luke Deal 76.2 58.5
LT Kilian Zierer 76.0 62.4
RT Brenden Coffey 73.1 66.9
RG/C Jalil Irvin 68.1 54.9

ALSO OF NOTE:

• The sixth-highest graded player on the defense was another defensive back — D.J. James. (So five of the top six performers are in the secondary.)

• The offensive line is interesting. All five starters posted either their TOP grade of the season or their SECOND-BEST grade of the season last night. I realize the opponent wasn't awesome, and I'm not nominating anyone for the College Football Hall of Fame here, but that's pretty impressive. Kendall Simmons is doing work. The play-calling (gap-scheme stuff) is helping these guys play to their strengths as well.

• Tyler Fromm was the top-graded player on offense (83.3), but played only 14 snaps. He was under our arbitrary threshold.

• Robby Ashford graded at 53.8, which is on par for him this season. He's a limiting factor despite playing with a ton of passion.

• Shed Jackson played 49 snaps and graded at 54.2. Incredibly, he has graded over 60 (failing grade) twice this season — against Mercer and Arkansas.

• Jay Fair played a season-high 13 snaps.

• Auburn played just 16 guys on defense last night. The ONLY SUBS AGAINST A&M were Rhym, Morris Joseph, M'Ba (two snaps), Burks and Dylan Brooks.

• Defenders who played EVERY SNAP: Simpson, Bridges, Pappoe, Derick Hall. (Keionte Scott missed one play, D.J. James and Colby Wooden missed two.)

• Marcus Bragg didn't play on defense.

• Wesley Steiner didn't play on defense.

• Auburn created 21 quarterback pressures, which ties for its highest tally of the season (San Jose State) ... but Auburn's averaging around 11 per game over the course of the season. The Tigers had 15 last week and a bunch against A&M. This defense is attacking much more aggressively.

Keionte Scott

He was in the TV screen often.

Seems like a quality DB just based on TV watching.

I’m sure others will correct my opinion if necessary.

Jackson’s best play was having his hand magically on the sideline.

No need to rotate when you’re recording consecutive 3 and outs.
