Truesdell has some good offers, hope we can get him.

Non committable I assume. He's headed to FAU if UF or AU doesn't call him

If UF hasn't given him a committable offer that should tell you all you need to know. They are in worse shape than us heading into NSD

They missed big in some areas but we got A+ grades on QB, OL, and LB this class.

Probably a B- class overall but not indicative of a staff that is dead in the water. Just a terrible finish to a B- class IMO

Kinda seems like a cycle. Staff kills 2-3 positions a year and the rest seem average

pretty much spot on Jonesy.

Missed on an edge rusher, unless Moultry ends up the guy there (I think he does).

I really like Barrett at RB as well and I'm in in the minority, but i like Alaric Williams if he can stay healthy. So I like our RB class too.

Not too impressed with the secondary, but losing McGriff took us from a great finish with Hunter to basically nothing.

Considering the staff recruited all offseason under the cloud of Gus being fired and even a few weeks into the season (until LSU). Then we finished the year with a dud and that caused MORE unrest amongst fans. That makes us an easy target to negative recruit against. So, all being taken into account it is a fine class, but nothing elite.

Hunter
Oliver
Johnson
Taylor
Bryant

and a couple 3 stars would have been hell of a class.

Top 8 maybe?

KN with some Thursday nuggets

- Staff feels things are real close with UGA for 4* DE Markaviest Bryant. Not confident about getting him but don't think it's out either. KN says they are "cautiously optimistic". As of this afternoon Bryant had not contacted the staff either way

- 3* DT Tyrone Truesdell still hasn't heard from our staff. If he gets the call he will commit but unknown if he will. KN says staff could wait to see on Bryant even though they play different positions or they could pass no info either way yet but longer it goes on the less likely it will happen

- 4* LB Tyler Taylor looks like done deal to LSU

- KN says staff is still exploring other options out there. No names or ideas who that might be or if anything comes to fruition but don't be shocked if some names pop up tomorrow

Not much in that update besides the Bryant battle being basically 50/50 with UGA probably 51/49 UGA. Thought if Truesdell would get offer would have happened by now but we will see

Hunter

Still mad about this one. We literally had em but because Ole Miss sucks we lose him

Ended up on the wrong side of a lot of 50/50 battles this year. That's what happens when all your rivals have elite recruiters as head coaches and 2 of em are on honeymoon period from a performance standpoint and the other is best in country. Need to have a strong season next year or will be more of the same

Won't lie, having our two rivals finishing with the #1 and #3 recruiting classes after we got worked by both last season (and the two seasons previous) is really starting to piss me off.

I'm happy with the class, but I need the red meat of victory over either UGA or Alabama in some aspect of the sport to stay sane.

but you can't just ignore the last 18 games bc it doesn't jive with your perception.

I'm not. But you are ignoring the fact we gave up the most rushing yards in our history to a single player. That starts with the DL.

Who had like 50 carries and our offense didn't do shite, keeping them on the field the whole game.... oh yeah, and he won the heisman.

You give any defense in the country those set of circumstances (namely a shite for brains offense) and the results would've been damn near the same IMO.

The DL has been solid the last season and a half. We're about to have two high DL draft picks... and had a freshman all-American last season.

Did you see our DL get their shite pushed in by Oklahoma?

Kevin Steele isn't known for having especially stout defenses in bowl season( to put it mildly.) Correlation?
Yes I had Kevin Greene on my mind....MAGA!

Only our coaches would turn away Thomas Johnston at LB just to waste five extra spots.
