Ha ha.....See ya Liner.

I would rather have a real HC than some recruit who is committed to Troopa and not AU.

I haven't checked this thread in weeks, because I figured it would be depressing. Peace.

FWIW, there have been conflicting reports of Reuben Foster this weekend. Auburn insiders were saying he would visit for the Auburn game, yet Georgia guys were saying that he'd be in Georgia. Well, Reuben isn't going to be in Georgia, and due to the time of the tweet, it seems that he will definitely be at the Auburn game.

Good for us. He can do some more recruiting.

So the only thing keeping him from going to UGA is a high school dance? That's comforting.

Liner and Trey Johnson were the two I felt would be the first to abandon ship. I really thought that Trey might have been gone with or without Roof and Liner just has always wreaked of Bama flip.

We are looking at JUCO such as this guy, look at the offer list will tell you the direction of recruiting...

Carter has offers from Middle Tennessee State, Troy and Louisiana Tech. He’s also receiving interest from Auburn, Georgia State, North Texas and Akron. The spring graduate plans to take his time making a decision.

Everyday that passes, BM mentions another JUCO guy the coaches are starting to look at. I am starting to think the coaches know what is coming and are starting to pin us in a corner.

Well, you know Trooper will tell his guys to follow him or go elsewhere at some point. I think the Liner comments sings of it.

Austin Nichols has committed to Memphis.

That's Basketball related, for those who have no idea who he is.

Yep.. he's too much of a puss to leave home from what I've heard. It's a shame but good luck to him.

Cameron Toney just tweeted "I'm committed to the school, not the record." There is a little good news. Sorta.

I think Toney has the heart to be a good one for us if he stays in at Auburn.

There's something to be said for a kid that really wants to be at a specific school and doesn't commit to a coach or a slick recruiter, instead of a school.

Cameron Toney isn't going anywhere. He wants to play for an in-state school and his only other committable offer is Tennessee which is pretty much in the same situation as us. He reports an offer from State but I don't believe either have shown much interest in each other.

Even with a coaching change, there's an opportunity to hold on to several guys... toney being one of them...

Chizik was able to hold onto Lutzenchirchen and nick fairley in 09... it's not unthinkable that another coach could come in and hold onto some of the bigger names.

One of (probably the biggest) top recruits that decommitted once Tuberville left/chizik came on board was Montez Robinson, DE from Indiana who signed with UGA.... Never heard of him?...EXACTLY... point being it's far more important to hire the right coach and lose a few recruits.

Jonathan Atchison fits this mold as well.
