The most frustrating thing is this was easily a 9 win team that Titboss mismanaged.

Let me put this out there for the record. Yes, Pittman has mismanaged the team. However, for this entire thread people have been saying Petrino hand picked Green. Green was his ride or die player. This was the clear path Petrino picked and the path that Bobby P had always wanted to pick.

And then we all blame Pittman for how the season turned out. Sure, the big guy deserves his share of the blame but let us be honest. It is Petrino's offense. We all know this, it isn't a serious subject of discussion.

The truth is this season's results, good or bad, can be hung on Petrino's door just as much as Pittman's but we all have fond memories of when Petrino was racking up wins here.

We have had some games where our defense absolutely got torched but for the most part they were very much a defense you can get 9-10 wins out of. Where it has tended to absolutely fall apart is on offense. Be it from turnovers, stupid penalties, or inane play calling... "Man, we are running the ball for 5 yards a pop! This is the perfect time to call three straight pass plays with an inaccurate QB!"

I hate to say it, but yeah, Pittman needs to retire. And Petrino needs to follow him into the sunset as well. Maybe next year he will prove me wrong, and I'll be happy to eat my words, but Petrino, at this stage of his career, looks like a guy who should be coaching a mid level FCS team.

I have no clue how the hiring of Petrino went down.

Was it Yurachek's idea?
Who suggested Enos?

Lots of frickery going on up on the hill from my POV.

Sam gets the blame for Bobby, TWill, Fountain and that fat arse from Baylor.

Burn it all down.

That's an even more favorable schedule than this season.

The winnable games are all at home. The likely to sure losses are on the road.

No UGA. No bama.

It isn't some insurmountable gauntlet of a schedule. The goal of 6-6 is easily reachable the same as this year.

What most likely will be our 4 toughest games are all true away games, in a row, to close the year. That's absolutely something to bitch about.

This year is the year we had very little to bitch about. And we managed 6-6. But hey I'm sure Pitt will get it together for next year.

If not he's got a great excuse to survive until 2026 amirite

The sec game dates haven't been released.

Arkansas isnt ending the season playing Texas.

Our 4 toughest games were all home games this year. Aggy goes home and home going forward.

West Virginia fired their coach in year 6 for going 6-6. So maybe we just need to wait one more year.

You act as if we have a say.

HY hired Sam. HY set the bar contractually at 6-6. HY paid a higher salary for exceeding 6-6 one year. Sam has met the bar of bowl eligibility all but one season.

Is the bar higher than 6-6? HY will have to raise the bar or he will need to be removed and replaced with someone who will if the bar is no longer 6-6.
