From what? Winning double digit games?
From the what could have been.
I don’t think Petrino can do it anymore.
Still has the play calling part, I don’t think he has the personal touch to do it in the modern era.

Move on from Petrino if it works or not.

I don't think there's anything wrong with his coaching. He showed up and greatly improved A&M's offense even with the Jimbo shackles on in one offseason. He gave Missouri State their first conference championship in 30 years as well as back to back playoff appearances, also having been 30 years since they were last there. Petrino is the first coach since 1986-1994 to have a winning tenure at Missouri State.
All of that since 2020. He can still coach.

I’m sure his ego says yes.

You call it a figurehead, I call it a GM. A dude they can send to do in home visits once a week. And shake babies and kiss donors.

getting everyone ready for Petrino to take over?
I believe I heard that there is no way legally that they can hire Petrino as HC again.
We were lucky to even be able to hire him as a coordinator, probably took some intense lobbying.
Of course, there's usually a way to overcome most anything.

Why not just hire an actual GM instead propagating a ‘figurehead head coach’ facade? Alabama did, it’s one of the first hires DeBoer made.

DJ chimed in on the situation and said he's going to have both Jarius and Joe on his show to talk about it directly. He also said his personal opinion is that the article certainly had a motive and may not have been researched super heavily before being published. Overall he didn't like it.

DJ is fantastic. People are missing out if you aren't listening to his analysis. I also love to hear him speak of his time under Petrino.

Jesus... this week's film review is a rough watch, y'all.

You can tell he isn't super impressed with the attitude of the team. He's basically danced around every way of calling them soft without actually saying it outright.

DJ is basically the only one I give a shite to listen to anymore. He doesn't sugar coat it and kiss arse, that is good enough for me. Plus he has the experience to back it up.

He wasn't impressed with the WRs. He didn't say it but he implied they were sloppy and just suck.
Pittman should have used some of that NIL money and got a couple more WRs with speed.

Well he brought in Jordan Anthony lol. Never really understood that one though since he didn’t do much at either A&M or Kentucky

That’s what I am saying, move Sam over to that or hire a better one. I absolutely don’t want Sam calling the game or plays or preparing the team. He has proven over 4+ years that everything he does is soft.
