I’m not hating on Gaeckel, he’s a very good pitcher

We can't continue to allow Gaeckle to spot other team's runs and then hope we can come back to win. We play in the SEC. That's not a recipe for success.

Assuming Wood comes back strong is a stretch

Diggs starts in LF after DVH benched Thomas yesterday.

Man that feels like that was a quick benching of Thomas. I know he had been awful in this series but seems like he had just come out of a stretch where he had really started to turn it around and I think even got his average over .300?
Posted on 4/13/25 at 1:04 pm to BallHawg10
In SEC play he's batting .256 with 19 K's to just 6 walks in 43 AB's. That's a 44% K rate.

Diggs K % in the SEC is 50%, albeit on 4 at bats

Posted on 4/13/25 at 2:41 pm to BallHawg10
Diggs doesn't K much, only 37 in 128 last year with a bum shoulder and 29 in 135 the year before that.
That's a 28% and 21%. Also had 26 walks to 29 K's that year as well.

LMAO before I even came to the board I just knew ArHog/DCHog would have posted melting. Sure enough...

Need to figure out who is going to step up and be the Saturday starter.
Also need to get our offense back in rhythm. Just simply being more disciplined will help a lot.

I think Wood goes to #2 and Gaeckle to #3. Maybe they will remove Gabe completely not sure, that is a really big decision.

The Aloy bros continued to stay hot at the plate while Davalan,Iredale, Maxwell and Kozeal sucked arse this weekend.
Davalan .142
Iredale .153
Maxwell .070
Kozeal .266
Definitely not number 1 in the nation stats and definitely not the end of the world.
I suppose I expected a better performance against an average Georgia team.
Shame on me

That's what I love about this team, those guys can have an off weekend and the offense still did enough to win the series if not sweep if the pitching was better.
The offense battled back both games after the pitching put us in a hole early and gave us a lead in the 13th to win the series yesterday.
