About a year's worth of frustration came flying out of him right there.

Did the other dude even try to hit Wilder? That was embarassing. He was there for a paycheck.

I don't follow boxing much but is Stiverne supposed to be any good? Looked like there is no way he should be fighting a title holder like Wilder. Looked very dangerous to put him in that ring.

So after reading up on this a little who is to blame for the delay in Wilder versus Joshua? Wilder seems to be saying all the right things about wanting to fight Joshua as soon as possible. Seems that Joshua's promoter is pushing it off with demands that Wilder fight some other guy in the UK first and talking about Joshua having other mandatory challengers to fight before fighting Wilder. Seems like BS from the Joshua camp but maybe there is another side to the story. Wilder is 39-0 and has the WBC title. Seems like the time for the fight with Joshua is now. Wilder is 32 and Joshua is 28. Is he trying to wait for Wilder to get past his prime? I got all this from 5 minutes of reading some stuff so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Spot on from what I've read. Wilder isn't all that popular, so I think Joshua's camp doesn't see much to gain. Joshua's promotor is trying to force Wilder to fight another one of that promotor's fighters.

they fought in 2015 and Deontay won decidedly, but it was somewhat decent, and went 12.

Crazy thing about Wilder is that he didn't start training to box until he was 20 years old.

Yeah the Joshua camp wants their other guy to fight Wilder first so they can get two paydays and they get a book on Wilder to better prepare Joshua.

Wilder should keep calling him out.

And I don't buy anybody saying Wilder isn't popular or marketable enough. He's huge and has all the knockout power you could ever ask for. Plus he's undefeated and not shy. What else do you want? If he was a white Irish guy he'd be the biggest star in the sport.
