They shoot well enough and have good enough Guards they could be a scary matchup for someone if they make the NCAAt

Fun second half. This seems like a quietly deep roster this season.

They'll be well tested by the OOC schedule...should know a lot about this team's potential by Christmas.

I didn’t get to watch, just followed on the ESPN app. FTs at 84% is not bad and it looks like Estrada was on fire from 3-pt line.

The good news is that we have a couple of guys who can just go get you a bucket when you need one, and they are surrounded by a solid group of outside shooters.

The bad news is that holy fricking shite they just got another wide open layup off a cut.

I think we've got a deep roster and we're playing tons of guys. Hard to find much team defense continuity like that.

Unlike 2 years ago I think we have some guys on the roster who can defend once we trim the rotation. But it's been ugly so far

Most definitely have some work to do defensively.

A lot of lazy defenders at the point of attack. Lot of standing straight up or closing out to the wrong side. Help side defense be non existent with certain groups on the court.

Mark Sears has to get us off to a better start. He has the most experience in this system.

Coach Oats needs to find ways to get Cosby & Walters on the court without mass substitutions so they can get a rhythm.

I hope Kris Parker is that defender we are missing on the wing.

Rylan Griffen played good defensively but his offense needs real work...he struggles getting his shot off in one on one situations. He needs to get better at it quickly.

They made some difficult shots as well.

I don’t think any of those three are playing significant minutes at all once the rotations tighten and the competition picks up.

Joka, YOU GOTTA GIVE WAGUE SOME CREDIT!!

HIS DEFENSE sparked the little run that pretty much ended the game

You can kind of see the 8 he’s gonna roll heavy minutes with..Sears, Estrada, Nelson, Griffin, Wrightsell, Stevenson, Pringle, Wague. Maybe Walters works himself in there and makes it 9 if he picks it up defensively.

The absolutely can.

Cosby will defend!

Sam Walters struggles at the point of attack because he's straight up and doesn't anticipate. He lacks physicality at times but he did better later in the second half.

Last year's team had the luxury of playing games overseas and being able to practice and develop chemistry. This team hasn't had that opportunity.

He started playing the coverage a little more aggressively. He did a great job.

This team has shooters, and bigs. I love Nelson's game.

Defense is want to and hustle, they'll get better but the thing that concerns me is there's no point guard on this team. If I have a small team I am going to press and attack the ball coming out of the dressing room and use my quickness to force Alabama into turnovers.

Can't let them run down the floor and shoot threes, they'll kill me.

My kingdom for a point guard. Sears is a shooting guard playing point. If we had a good one this team would really be hell on wheels

When did college basketball start allowing players to wear a 6,7,8 or 9 in their uniform number?? Watching Memphis and they have a number 8 and 9.
