I just turned on the Memphis game while having something 2 eat. And Quinerly is playing like total shite. I saw a turnover (which led to a fast break layup), then a dumbass jelly layup attempts where JQ didn't bother to try and get back on defense, which led to an easy score.

SMU is up 43-23, and I'm glad his toxic arse isn't holding our offense back. Memphis started 15-2, and are about to be 18-8.

From the new team success or lack thereof for Nimari and JQ, Oats can probably tell anyone that wants to transfer that we’ll win with or without you.

Helluva comeback for our ladies against Auburn today. Down 10 heading to the 4th. This is one they had to have against another bubble team.

I was fine about nimari. And we probably don't get Wrightsell if he stays. JQ initially seemed like a bad thing. But he's not a good leader. He can ball. But all the good things he does can quickly become a net negative. And seeing how much he's dragging arse today, we're definitely better off without him.

Our chemistry wouldn't be anywhere what you're seeing. We don't get the open looks we get is people are playing selfishly.

I don’t really wanna bury a guy that was pretty beloved by the team. JQ was vital as a bucket getter and energy guy last year as well. However he wouldn’t be the solution to any of our problems this season

Memphis fans HATE JQ. And some of their people with inside info are saying he is the problem with the team in the locker room.

Our 2022 collapse makes sense.

I mean even setting aside chemistry, leadership, and intangibles generally, Sears is just a significantly better basketball player. If Quinerly hadn't transferred he'd still be playing second fiddle instead of turning into one of the best college players in the country.

I was never a huge JQ fan because he was so feast or famine but I wouldn’t read too much into that kind of rumor.

They’re struggling lately and when that happens people look for a scapegoat. JQ is a hired gun for them and he’s always either a hero or zero. That’s the guy that’s getting the blame. Further, if he was that much of a locker room problem I can’t see Oats wanting him back.

Fact is this is Penny’s 6th season at Memphis. They average 10 losses a season with a low of 8, made the dance twice (as 6 and 9 seeds), and haven’t survived the first weekend. This season is pretty much who they are under him.

Edited to add - Santa is exactly right. Sears is so much more than JQ ever could hope to be.

Yeah I mean at this point we should just write it off as a blessing in disguise. I was definitely sour towards JQ based on how he went about his departure from the program, but this backcourt would not work as well as it does with him stopping the ball and trying to score through traffic. Sears and Estrada are not ball stoppers. Wrightsell is the only guard we have who is looking to score every time he touches the ball, but microwave bench scorer is pretty clearly his role on this team. He's not out there to get everyone else involved.

Absolutely! This is a top 20 Florida team that masqueraded as a Q2 bunch for the first 2.5 months of the season. They had a lot of new faces getting integrated into their system and now they appear to have it all figured out. They lead the SEC in rebounds per game and they have above average rim protection. Fortunately their defensive metrics in other areas are pretty poor.

Great. We will probably get out rebounded 40-20 then.

I like a couple of Florida's bigs. They run the floor and play extremely hard.

Their guards are decent as well. It's going to be a tough matchup but hopefully we can get the W!

If you listen to Oats’ press conferences or the A&M player postgame, it appears Wrightsell has been getting “corrected” by coach for passing up shots after several games. Think he passed up 1 at LSU and got yelled at again. He seemed tired of getting yelled at in his presser after A&M. Expect him to shoot every time he touches it at this point.

He’s shooting 45% from 3 this year, so fire away!

First game I've been to this year. Didn't realize how tall the freshman Stevenson and Walters are. Rylan has also gotta be 6'7. Kids are giants.

Alabama's Woman's Basketball Team with a nice comeback when over Auburn in T-Town today, to pick up the Tide's 20 win of the season.

It was a great weekend. Bama's Men's and Women's Basketball teams won, the Baseball team went 3-0 and the Softball team goes 5-0. The Woman's Gymnastics Team could pick up a nice win tomorrow.
