We got scary potential offensively and we could be good defensively.

We leave our feet a lot right now on defense and it takes us out of our seat.

I think Coach Oats mixed and matched here in there and it kind a through some guys off but they have potential.

Loved seeing Miller and Byrne together. Bama had his back. University and the fans. He’ll never forget that.

Nelson is a star. Guard play was good. In control. FT shooting was awesome.

Love the length we can throw at you and how diverse they all are. So much skill.

6’11 Nelson, 6’11 Stevenson, 6’10 Pringle, 6’10 Wague and 6’10 Walters.

Going to need every bit of it against Purdue and Arizona.

We ain’t got to be as good as last year or 3 years ago Joka we just can’t be as bad as we were 2 years ago. If we can stay top 30-40 on defense we will be elite

I'll say, they shot 43.5% fg and 30% 3fg. But there was a stretch where they were making some crazy shots. We had a bad stretches. But there were good ones too.

Grant "MotherFrickin" Nelson! Entirely too skilled and I literally have no clue why he's in college...the heck with doing it versus top competition. You can't teach what he has.

Once he gets comfortable...put some RESPECT ON HIS NAME.

Mark Sears bout to take off just watch. He calms the team when he's running the show.

Aaron Estrada can literally score at will. That dude is like playing Russian roulette with a fully loaded gun offensively.

Jarin Stevenson is a better shooting Noah Clowney. He's not as skilled defensively as Clowney but he has the potential to be decent to good.

So we shot 13 FTs in the 1st half and 25 in the 2nd, and they went from 6 to 13.

So yeah, they were definitely calling every bit of contact in the 2nd half. It kinda killed the pace.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Stevenson grows in March. He just turned 18 and is in high school if he hasn't reclassified. His potential is amazing. He might even be the best player on the team.
Of course, it may not be easy to adjust to college basketball until March.

fwiw, it's Russian Roulette.

Is this an autocorrect or bone-apple-tea situation?

My takes:

Nelson and Estrada: either one of these guys could be used as a scoring crutch when the offense is struggling.

Holy Length: Between Nelson, Stevenson, and Walters, we can go really long and not sacrifice a whole lot of ball-handling in the process

Guard Defense: Estrada and Wrightsell looked very good defensively

Missing Bediako: that decision still looks like it may haunt us. Wague has some really ridiculous tools, but looked a little lost. Pringle didn't look improved though the sample size is small

Griffen: was really hoping to see him more under control this season. First game wasn't the case, but still a whole lot of season to go.

Walters has some thick legs. He is gonna end up looking like Tyler Hansbrough by the time he is done growing. Much better shooter though.

Popular national Champion pick Michigan State is about to lose to James Madison in OT. Big 10 is overrated as always.
