He also said this in reference to what his sources were saying

Mike Norvell is often mentioned.

Still waiting on that new Bball arena.

We could do a lot worse than Norvell if we strike out on Lanning and Sark. I'm in the camp that Kiffin isn't even an option.

Turn Saban's Ferrari into a Buick and you'll wish you had spent the money while you had it.

It is paramount that they keep this football machine rolling. It affects enrollment and tuitions and everthing.

I'm not a big fan, but with FSU's conference situation and being left out of the playoff this year at FSU I think he would run here if offered.

If I’m not mistaken buyouts can be negotiated if a coach wants to leave. If Lanning is offered the job and he really wants it his agent will work something out.

Also it’s pretty common that a coach might have in his contract that if certain jobs come available the buyouts could be less.

There were breadcrumbs there all year looking back. Can’t remember which game it was when they mentioned that Ms. Terry wasn’t traveling to the game, when she always made the trip.

Lanning being at the NC game with ESPN instead of Saban. When was the last time he didn’t do the game when Bama wasn’t in it? Things were a little different this year. Hard to believe the AD was unaware of it all.

Poooooor poor BOL. Used to be basically the only source for inside info. Now Tim is having to send out feelers to “dozens” of people and still doesn’t know squat.

Yeah, not sure many people really want to pass along true inside info to a guy who’s job is to immediately run to a message board and share it.

I think it's related to Mrs Terry's health sadly and maybe she had an appt today and got worse news? Not sure and hate to speculate but I do believe that it was something that came about suddenly and I'm not sure what else it could be.

Norvell completely embarrassed himself with his comments, then had (told?) all his players to quit on the season and suffered the worst bowl loss in college football history. It would be funny to see the melt but his career record is just 69-32. I'm unimpressed.

If it’s true, I can definitely see that being the case. A test result came back bad, and it was time to pull the cord.

I read somewhere on here that the meeting was supposed to be yesterday, but weather delayed it. If that was the case there’s absolutely no way Byrne didn’t know at least yesterday and was already working the contacts with coaches.

Yeah the whole "Byrne was shocked" take is silly. It probably wasn't decided, but he knew. My guess is it was a known possibility and whatever the deciding factor was (hopefully not health news) happened today.

Correct.

We won’t know tonight but we will before the weekend unless something drastic happens.

Terrion Arnold said tonight that there was a team meeting scheduled then cancelled yesterday because of the weather.

There have been rumors about her health all season. I’m sure Byrne was aware this was a possibility.

I think based on reports we're going after Lanning. If that falls through I think worst case we get Kiffin. He's all but salivating to be our next coach. I don't see any situation we're we end up with worse than Lane.

Oregon fans are in sort of a panic and convinced Lanning won't leave, which is surprising given that four of their last five coaches have left for better jobs.
