None of that shite matters if he wins. There aren't many others that have been floated in connection that would do better. In fact the only other one is sark.

If the boosters want to win (and they are the hold up) then they have doomed the program

I don’t like Norvell, and certainly hope he is not the selection, but he and Sark meet the criteria Byrne outlined (which includes being a great recruiter). I understand a few people’s point that UW’s coach is in an area geographically difficult to recruit, and that he could most likely recruit well at Alabama, but bottom line he does not meet the criteria of being a great recruiter like Byrne outlined. The more I look at it, the more it seems like Sark or Norvell (I hope not) are the two candidates that our coach will come from.

The part that makes me uneasy. Hope the team morale isn’t shattered and that they still have faith in the program.

Sources: Bama players are beside themselves. Driving around downtown Tuscaloosa begging (thru texts) Byrne's family for address to Greg's home.

Cadillac Williams resigning from Auburn to pursue other opportunities.

Unrelated...I hope.

When it comes to recruiting as a head coach, you need to have a fantastic staff, and you need to be a great closer. Maybe each year personally handle a couple of kids, but if he surrounds himself with the right people, we would still get great classes.

Saban had a mystique about him that lured kids. Sark is the only one that seems to have the same aurora.

The NBA really is just a soap opera for men. Kind of like the WWE, but they seriously want people to believe it's all real and not scripted at all.

Breaking: the University of Alabama's board of trustees has recently discussed the idea of providing fellatio to elite candidates, to replace Alabama coaching legend Nick Saban. With the recent news, stocks of knee pad manufacturers have increased 10% since opening.

If it’s Sark that’s going to cause an interesting coaching carousel right as Texas comes to the SEC. They would be on the clock to find a new coach a re-recruit their players.

Could be a wild offseason

Kirby, Sark, or Kiffin

Others are smoke and mirrors. This isn’t small ball.

Kiffin is a great recruiter but has a terrible record against top teams. He’s a small ball name. I’d prefer DeBoer at that point.

Duke basketball had to promote from within after K retired. Same with UNC and OSU football or OU football for that matter.

They had a succession planned. Otherwise Scheyer, or however you spell it, would've taken a head coaching job. It would have been similar if Nick Saban had been the Georgia coach instead of Bama, and Kirby wanted to wait for his dream job. We've got a much different scenario

This is what surprises me. We easily pay our coach 10+mil per year, but people think we can't come up with 20 mil for a buyout. Not that we will have to, but that's the general opinion of some.

Old habits die hard. When you're as high in the mountain as we've become, you can't suddenly act cheap and expect to stay there. You might get lucky and land a surprise home run. But anyone established isn't gonna come cheap to step into this furnace.

He's been at smaller schools against the top teams. Dude just finished with 11 wins. That's pretty dang good for ole sis.

There’s a rumor making rounds that Caleb Downs is positioning to transfer to Ohio State. I hope that’s just a rumor someone made up. He is crucial to keep here.
