I wish there was a stat for WRs indicating how often they were open.

Because he seemed to be open… a lot.

I’m not saying he’s a game breaker but as a complementary WR2 he was a lot better than his stats indicate.

Big to get him back because - unless we are one of the top passing offenses in the nation in 2025 - I think it is unlikely he puts up the same raw numbers as this year. Williams ought to be more refined and Horton is going to share some of the load for the 3WR that didn't exist in this offense in 2024.

The 3 kids that transferred from Washington were all very impressive this season (Brailsford, Cuevas, Bernard). Consistent and seemed to do everything right. Awesome to get them all back.

there is no reason why we cant be one of the top passing offenses. We could have been this year with all the guys running around open

Kalen DeBoer passing offense (yds/game) as a D1 head coach.

2020: 356 ypg (5th nationally)
2021: 326 ypg (9th nationally)
2022: 370 ypg (1st nationally)
2023: 344 ypg (2nd nationally)
2024: 236 ypg (56th nationally)

--

One of those is not like the others. I think we've got some talented passers. For whatever reason (I don't care anymore - it's over) DeBoer felt like he needed to go with Milroe this year. History tells me that he will find a way to move the ball through the air, and hopefully that starts for us next season.

QB has to prove themselves, whoever it is, but I don't see a scenario where we aren't passing for 290+ yards per game next season, possibly more.

An absolute crime he only scored two touchdowns last season.

WR room is going to be insane.

Cuevas was underutilized. He’s a very good receiver. We saw glimpses of his ability in the Auburn game.

BAMA is going to lead the SEC in scoring next season.

And probably have the best scoring defense as well.

He’s probably a first rounder after next season barring an injury so I doubt he regresses production wise

Better passing offense could easily see us have two guys over 1000

Hmm no, he’s a 3 or 4 in the NFL. I see 2nd round.

He barely got playing time at UW. He’s a John Metchie type.

Washington had a really good and veteran WR group the year he was there. He still acquitted himself well. I don’t know if he has enough speed for the first round but you never know. Even second round would be very good.

The only reasons are OL play and the unknown at quarterback. I think the scheme and skill players are there to be quite good though.
