Apparently, like Auburn, until recently, UA refused to let Lee Corso put on Big Al.

2007 vs Georgia would be Big Al's first ever head debut.
As you can guess, during the Mike's era, Alabama's College GameDay appearances were few and far between.
Previously, when Corso picked Bama, it would be some form of fan hat.

2007 was 17 years ago, I'm not sure that qualifies as recently.

Our leading receiver wasn't born when Corso couldn't wear the Big Al head. That's a long time ago, not recently.
