Zappe starts the second half and immediately leads a TD drive. Yeah, Mac is done. Not all his fault, but he's not blameless. He's a long way from playing in the Pro Bowl and being voted a top 100 player by fellow players prior to the '22 season. I know Belichick basically sabotaged him after that, but it also seemed like he got a little of the big head... copywriting "MJ10" and all that off the field money stuff. Hopefully he invested well.

Zappe has like 45 yards and a pick. They both averaged less than 5 yards a pass. Their best receiver is a 6th round 5'8" rookie. Belichik made his legacy off Brady and is now scapegoating his QB so that legacy isn't tarnished when everyone realizes it was never him, it was always Brady.

His roster building on offense has been dismal and he's made horrendous coaching decisions. He was nothing before Brady and has been nothing after Brady. I don't know what happens to Mac at this point. Seems inevitable that they'll draft a QB and he's under contract for 2024... obviously won't have his fifth year option picked up. Hard to see another team with a starting opportunity when you have 3-4 new first round QBs coming into the league every draft.
But hey...he stuck it out at Bama...had an all-time season... parlayed that into being a first round pick, started in the NFL for 3 years and should be a multimillionaire if he was halfway sane with his money. Smart guy... could be a backup journeyman pulling down $5 million a year for several seasons and may get another starting shot due to injury at some point.

Bama boys Jalen, Smitty and Dickerson help take down the Bills in overtime. At one point Jalen had 3 touchdowns in four consecutive throws.

Smitty had a great game. The Slim Reaper has the best nickname in the league and has lived up to his draft position.

That game winner from Jalen last night looked very similar to his 2018 SECG game winner. I tried to find a gif of it to put those runs side by side but I couldn't find one.

Cam Sims is one of those guys you never would have guessed would stick in the NFL for several years. Just make some rosters and you're going to make some money.
