If they are making coin and understand their roll it might make it easier. Especially if they are a true freshman.

Absent a court ruling it’s likely we will see in season transfers and instant eligibility soon.

This I don’t understand unless you’re joking. What would be the argument for transfer anywhere, any time, with immediate eligibility?

I would be shocked if they were allowed to transfer within the semester once it is fully engaged. They are still supposed to go to school right. Isnt there a day you can drop a class. Once that day has passed I would be shocked if they could go somewhere and play right away. Arent they required to take a minimum number of hours in the fall?

The courts have consistently ruled in favor of the “student athletes” being free to come and go like regular students or employees, it’s very much a possibility that a judge would rule that way.

Believe me, it’s not what I want but absent collective bargaining or legislation it’s however a judge rules on it when challenged.

Yes, if the game was played tomorrow. But it's not.

We've got a long way to go before 8/30.

Nothing will change between now and game 1. If anything changes, it will be the result of what happens in the games.

He’s more like “the guy to beat” right now. I suspect that they are very intrigued by the other two guys and what they bring to the table. Coaches want to see both improve over the summer and into the fall. They also want to keep pushing Ty to get better. Is it a little concerning that Ty is not 100% the starter after spring practice? That is something to think about over the off season.

That said, I think Ty will be the guy. Everything we hear so far is that he’s having a solid spring. He has more experience at the collegiate level. He is going to know the system better than Russell, so he has a leg up on the super talented freshman.

At the end of the day, i believe we will all feel more confident with a senior former 5* taking the first snap of the season. Could things change as they progress along? Yes, they could.

Maybe they don’t want anyone to transfer out.

D. Harris, Yeldon and even McClellan are under-appreciated.

In the end, IMO, the best RB in Bama history is between Alexander and Henry.
