I guess I’d say that I’m not sure Saban won specific individual games because of depth but he certainly had several championship seasons because of it.

There was not a lot of games where you thought, damn we can’t win. We had a couple of those last year..Oklahoma, Michigan

As bad as we played against Michigan, we still had a chance at the end of the game to win it. And that was despite our offense spotting Michigan 16 points in the first quarter.

Correct. The defense stepped up big time in that first quarter. It could have easily been 28-0. They kept us in it until the end.

I would say we had recruiting services talent, not Coach Saban talent necessarily...Alabama kinda got caught up in the perfect storm of having to replace a lot of good coaches with mediocre at best coaches in the last 5 years of Saban's tenure, the shitshow of no in person/camp settings evaluation during the covid years and a lot of misses on talent, especially depth piece talent.
The last great rb/wr/dl players have all been portal additions. Alabama accomplished what they did on above average talent by Saban standards, along with the greatest college coach ever making chicken salad out of chicken chit assistant coaches.

Anytime a defense holds an opponent to under 200 yards of total offense, they play well enough to win the game. Unfortunately, Milroe played like he was drunk for the entirety of that game and our offense could never establish any type of rhythm.

Ken Stabler resents that. He played amazingly while drunk. Milroe played like he was on PCP.

I don't think Bama has to worry about Mack transferring. He is the prototype CKD QB plus he has the leadership and height to fight for his spot.

He’s head and shoulders above the rest.

What kind of attic dwelling malanthropes are down voting Carlton? You gotta be a no-life having mom prepared pizza bites eating 350 pound blinkard.

I think these 3 quarterbacks, who are at practice every day, have a pretty good feeling for who is in the lead, for the starting job. You have to consider that whoever ends up number 2, either Ty or Mac, that one will definitely consider leaving. But there is always a chance that the starter doesnt play well or gets hurt.

Bold assumption that Keelon won't be QB2. Unless you're saying Keelon is QB1 and Ty and Mack are fighting for QB2
