Reuben Foster's uncle just posted on BOL that a "close source" to Jordan Burch says Alabama is in it way more than what's being reported.

I don't really understand that logic. Nothing is really being reported regarding where Burch is leaning. Literally every prediction I have seen on that kid is qualified with "this is 100% a guess". No one knows besides him and mama.

24 hours ago the rumors were all doom and gloom. Now they have turned into us absolutely cleaning up tomorrow and pissing in the rest of the SEC's Cheerios in the process. I choose to believe the latter. We ridin baws!

I would honestly just be happy with Arian Smith, Pegues, and keeping Timothy Smith.

This process is cyclical though and the cycle turns faster the closer to signing day we get. In like 4 hours, we'll be back to getting nobody shut program down.

Darnell Washington not expected to sign on Wednesday (BamaOnLine)
quote:

Five-star athlete and coveted tight end target Darnell Washington has elected not to sign a letter of intent on Wednesday, the first day of the Early Signing Period. The Las Vegas (Nev.) Desert Pines product took to Twitter to announce his decision. Washington, who is considering Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, among others, had originally planned to sign on Wednesday and reveal his decision at the Under Armour All-America Game.

“Every school’s got a great education, great facilities, great coaches, but at the end of the day it’s going to come down to the trust, and me trusting them to develop me to become that first round pick or whatever round I’m in,” Washington said of Alabama recently following an in-home visit with Nick Saban. “And I just trust them to make me a better person on and off the field, not just as a player.” . . According to the mods over at 247 on Washington and Ringo, they are wanting to make sure their day doesn't get ruined. Rusty said that a few players signed early last year and waited to announce, and it leaked out somehow ruining their surprise.

I am confident that Washington and Ringo are both Dawgs. Rumors even floating around that they might sign tomorrow and not announce it so nobody is looking to find out who they signed with.

Ol' coolmtn over on the UGA board is still pumping that sunshine. They were getting everyone last season too

I had to go out. What part of the rollercoaster are we on? Getting everybody or getting nobody?

Just perusing the various boards, and that seems to be the sentiment. Lots of “No worries, they aren’t ‘announcing tomorrow,’ but they are going to sign. Then announce it later.”

Seriously though, it seems like the trend is changing from signing early to waiting and signing later. Maybe some of them don’t want to regret that decision.

I think this is so because the kids are wary of signing and a coach leaves.

Well, it puts the schools and coaches in a dilemma. Do they what and see if the “big time” recruit will sign in February? Or do they give a kid lower on the board a green light because he will sign early? I remember last year, LSU waited to sign a few players and got burned. Do we wait for someone like Washington or give Pegues the green light?

Unless Nick knows which of these Jr's are staying or leaving then hen he will have to sign more come Feb. We're talking 5 or 6 schollys that will be open if they all go to the NFL.

Last year was glorious, one of my highlights on the board. I out-predicted Americus.

I’ve talked to a few of my sources and this is what has been relayed to me:

We are going to love the guys we get tomorrow. They were our top choices and the best of the best at their positions. As for the guys we miss on, the coaches didn’t really push for them too hard. A few with grade issues, bad attitudes, and guys that had already peaked. As always, things are fluid. Stay tuned...
