Look…I hope his wife has a full recovery and goes on to live a long and happy life, but I’ve never understood why people say things like “God is good” in reaction to something like this. Jesus specifically says in the Bible that he can heal the sick. We are given example after example of him doing so. He restores sight to the blind. He enables the lame to walk. He cures lepers.

He also says that if you gather and pray in His name, the object of your prayer is as good as yours.

Why does anyone look at a cancer patient as evidence of God’s goodness? Just pray for cancer everywhere to be gone. I’m sure it’s been done.

Yet there she is. And we know it can’t be prayed away, else she wouldn’t be in the hospital getting state of the art *human* intervention.

God isn’t good. Doctors are good. If God were good, she wouldn’t have cancer to begin with.

Would’ve probably been better if god hadn’t let her get brain cancer in the first place but hopefully the prayers work and she pulls through

Jesus taught that we live in a broken world where pain and suffering are part of it. But we can have peace through Him during the suffering.

Prayers for her but I just don’t understand sharing delicate moments on social media.

This goes back to the mom arrested or girlfriends in skimpy outfits.
What is (not) acceptable?

The Pollack's believe in God and in prayer. He said he shared this so that people would pray for his wife. I guess if even one person prayed for her, after seeing this on social media, then it was worth it for them.
I agree that there are some delicate things I don't understand why people share, but this seems more of a request for prayers.

This one gets a pass. At least it's not self serving or brand promotion.
