Thats the guy. He was also in a band. His drummer or maybe his dummers girlfriend worked there too. I forget the name of the band.

I worked all through college. Lowery’s Tavern bouncer then bartender (which in retrospect I should have paid them based on alcohol and coed benefits) and Outback Steakhouse when it opened (had to quit Lowery’s or risk not graduating).

That was my spending and living money.

WalMart is starting $14/hr.
My 19 year old waits tables and averages about $22/hr.
My 18 year old working at Crumbl is about $15/hr.
Waffle House is hiring at $20/hr.

Last summer, my son was working for the water authority at $14/hr mowing lawns. But they guaranteed him 10 hours overtime a week (average $15.40/Jr during the week).

When I was at UGA, pay was shite. I drove to Gwinnett County for work (gas was cheap back then. $0.69/gallon over the summers).

I think I made $5 an hour at Dial-America inbound call center when I was in school.

Yeah, Jerry was a fun guy. He was in a band but I don’t think they played out in bars. I also worked at Uptown Lounge as a bar back. I think I recall you saying you played football at UGA. I used to hang out with a few of the players. Adam Meadows mainly because he went to the same HS I did but was 5 years younger. He and my brother were real good friends in HS. Adam and Brandon Tolbert were buddies at UGA and I got to know Brandon a little through Adam. Twenty something years later Brandon and I were living in the same town in West Georgia and had sons the same age. We teamed up to coach their 11-12 year old team.

Did you play with them on those final Goff teams?

They are being severely underpaid if this is true. I made $15.75 an hour back in 2012

I knew Adam better than Tolbert. I heard he was out like in the Bremen area. They are both younger than me.
Goff was an assistant when I was there, but I remember when we all heard after the Mich State game he got the job and everyone was shocked to say the least.

Brandon used to live in Bremen but he is in Athens these days.

Adam is coaching HS football in Alabama. I think at Mountain Brook in B’Ham.

Remember when chipotle was good, the servings were large, and it was reasonably priced? Now it's $15, smaller, and mostly rice.

The meat is gristly and fatty now too

Taco Stand on Milledge still remains, but it's not cheap anymore, which was part of what made it good. Serving the same slop for at the same prices as other better places, its not good for anything but nostalgia now.
