Nope. They're already with the enemy, the Big 10. Plus, their state doesn't fit coherently within the geographical boundaries of our current conference map as does Kansas (come to think of it, after looking at the map, neither does Missouri! Oh, well).
I read where Virginia, North Carolina and Clemson were the other three being considered for an invite. Just look at the map below and you'll see that Illinois doesn't fit in (neither does Missouri, but it's done & over with; therefore >>>>>>>>>> Kansas does by westward expansion).
College sports has and is changing....I guess the SEC is doing the same.

We now know the problem with you. If Kansas is so great go back there then. You won't. Worthless state.
kansas is not a totally worthless state. The Deprtment of Weights and Measures uses it as a reference guide to judge flatness.

Totally true. Long boring drive from KC thru the Kansas wasteland to get to Colorado. The drive to Aspen Colorado was so boring as hell going thru KansASS. A big group would drive to Aspen every year and play in a volleyball tournament called the Mother Lode. It was a lot of fun except for the boring arse drive thru Kansas.
