Which is why Kirby is easily the #1 HC right now.

Spurrier was a good coach.

Couldn’t stand the MFer but was a good coach.

Yes I suppose kirby is the best coach in the off-season of post saban cfb. It could easily change

Spurrier was an excellent coach. According to recruiting services 96 Florida was the last team not composed of a majority of blue chips that won a natty

Edited my title.

Nick Saban without a doubt followed by Steve Spurrier or Kirby Smart?

Am a Dawg homer but have to give credit to Spurrier.

Well he's thrived in the NIL/portal era (unlike Dabo) and has a personal connection to his school (unlike Saban).

Can any school compare to Bama with Bryant and Saban?

UGA has Kirby. UF had Spurrier.

What school could claim better coaches than Bama?
Kissing your sister is cringe but they’ve had some good coaches.

quote:

Spurrier (who went 1-2 against Mike Dubose).

In all fairness to Spurrier, he was probably distracted by Dubose's gut hanging over his belt on the opposite sideline. I know we were.

I know teams like Tennessee make it a tradition to hire fat slobs as HC, but he was definitely the biggest one to ever coach the Tide.

Spurrier was unfortunately before my time. Ron Zook was our coach when I started watching. I miss him being our HC now...

I would. I’d take Bama heads up over Ga in Tuscaloosa.

I’d take Tex heads up as well if you want to wager.
