Tennessee trumps Texas in a new way............

Software giant, Oracle, is moving its headquarters from Austin, Texas, to Nashville, Tennessee, four years after ditching California for Texas.

Tennessee's looking more and more like the real UT. :)

I'm pretty sure true Tennessee natives are not thrilled with this move. Good luck affording a new house fellas

That was already an issue in the Mid-State 10 years ago. If you want to buy a house in Davidson or Williamson County, you have to be rich.

I live 1.5 hours south of Nashville and it has even taken a toll here. Too many new people that I wouldn't mind seeing going back to where they came from.

Vols will be the silicon valley of the east at this rate. Minus the gays and drug epedemic ofcourse

This is great news for Austin, Austin is FULL!

There has been 150-200 people per day moving to Austin for the last 10 years

You sure about "minus the drug epidemic?" The opioid epidemic has brought devastation to rural America, and rural Tennessee is no exception. The areas that aren't booming are pretty depressing.
