Clearly the 6 most accomplished active head coaches in the conference.

Thanks for compiling the list, OP.

You're welcome. But first, let me shahtaht to SummerofGeorge, tOG tRant data compiler.

Secondly, I would be ashamed if I were a grown arse man who coaches college football at an esteemed program, such as one which has won multiple national championships, and I couldn't lead my team to a victory in a New Year's Six bowl game. #shame

That’s directed at Brain Kelly isn’t it?

Did I accidentally omit him from the list? Surely, one of Brian Kelly's teams has won a New Year's Six bowl game throughout the years. If not at LSU, then certainly at Notre Dame, which are two of the most prestigious programs in college football history.

You're welcome. There is no denying the greatness of LSU since the Fightin' Tigers first took the gridiron long ago. That's why I can't believe I omitted Brian Kelly from the list of active SEC head coaches whose teams have won a New Year's Six bowl game. :bangshead:

These lists sure are weird without Nick Saban at the top. I like Kirby being number one, but it just doesn't feel right.

Now do how many of those coaches have been in the NCG.

We'll wait.

It feels really good to me.
Saban has been going downhill for a couple of years. If not for the refs he would have been exposed as a coach whose best days were behind him a lot earlier.

And yet in his "decline", he was able to consistently dominate Georgia, and came within a cocks hair of beating the team that won the national championship last season

It always amazes me how some fans deride a team that just beat their arse. Georgia never took a single snap in the 4th quarter with a chance to take the lead.

Does it mean a 5-1 record? A winning percentage of 80?

The decline was 2021-23 which was 3 years without a national title. No way we played 6 times.
