A&M has nobody else to blame if they don’t get T8. Cold, hard facts. Cannot complain about their draw because it was there for the taking and they tripped at the finish line

I understand people have trouble differentiating opinions and facts.

I'm 99% sure they're going to seed things where we match up with South Carolina after losing that series this season.
Belle I don't think you'll have to be too concerned - Carolina isn't hosting a Regional - getting swept at home v a hot Georgia club ended those hopes -

cherry on top will be getting swept at UTK to end the regular season - USC is looking at falling to the 11 or 12 seed in Hoover - and being jeopardy of missing the NCAAT altogether at 33-22 -

I do hope we get a 3 seed in Clem's regional if Carolina gets in - but the committee will probably send us to Greenville NC -

I wish I could be more optimistic about our team but our hitting is of tremendous concern. We can’t be going into the 5th inning of every game playing from a big deficit and expect to win every game. I may be too nervous to watch the regionals..

I think everyone understands that Alabama and South Carolina are not hosting regionals.

Looked back through the thread and did not see anyone reference that.

I did, which is why he responded.. but as I said.. I didn't give it much thought.. I'll do a deeper dive after this weekend..

At a minimum, State has to take 2/3 from Mizzou to host.

Maybe even a sweep. My guess is we lose the series

I would expect you guys to take at least 2/3 from them. You guys are at home, so I would actually expect a sweep. Your RPI is projected to take a hit from playing them though, which will put it around #21. If you guys get to 18 SEC wins, I think you are a shoe in to host.

South Carolina is in, even at 13-17. Hosting looks out of reach as it would require winning the series against the Vols in Knoxville, which I just don't see happening.

State would certainly deserve to host if they finish 17-13, but that RPI leaves them a bit vulnerable to politics. The committee will try to find a way for two West Coast teams to host, and that might require shoehorning UCSB into the 16th slot at the expense of a more deserving team, like State.

I think State hosts if we win 2/3.

Programs like LSU, State, Arkansas, USCe usually get the benefit of the doubt in these things. And have large fan followings combined with great facilities which like it or not helps.

Overall Record - 32-17 - 38th best record

2 Q4 losses
4 Q3 losses (swept by Lamar)

RPI 15

This looks more like a host team and not a Top 8.

Make that 34-17 after sweeping double header on the road at Cinci. Cinci had not lost a home series all year until now.

OU since Apr 7:

Won 17 of 20, now 34-17

Clinched school's first regular season Big 12 title

Set school record for conf wins in a season (23) and counting

Have swept 6 series (go for 7th Friday)

Won 8 straight

Scored 26 runs today

Chip always paces his pitchers early season and gives up some games to protect his arms for the long season. And this team has massive fire power on offense. Some great hitters
