I mean this isn’t like we took him in the first round. The upside far outweighs the risk. If he sucks then he won’t play.

He has the talent. Just has to mentally figure it out. I have never been a rattler fan but I like the pick for the saints.

Arm talent has always been there. But, with him growing up off the field, this could be a sneaky good pick in a few years.

I agree.

He did seem to mature a ton and never pointed fingers even when he had absoloutely nothing to work with behind that O-line at SC.

Mr. Bitter doesn't like him. Probably because he played for OU.

No surprise there.

He has never lived down his QB1 appearance. He came across as a massive douche.

Right, I have no problem with taking him where we did. I have a problem with passing on other QBs in the first round. I would have loved to have gotten Bo Nix but he went two picks earlier

So would I if I had a camera on me at the age. People grow.

You aren’t wrong of course. That is the reason. Just an unfortunate way that our world works.

I really need to rethink my Falcons fandom.. what a horribly run, depressing franchise.

but could be a good fit down the road for them

Only if they choose to cross train him as an equipment manager

Imagine if we all had our high school selves put on a reality TV show.

He didn’t look great in that show, but people do grow up….especially from high school senior to college graduate.

You want to talk about making a fanbase melt… look at what the falcons just did. We will have to deal with Carr for at least another year.

We were locked into o line no matter if we wanted to do anything else.

I really like the kid ... he's what college football should be all about.

I hope he kills it in NOLA.

I like the way you said it. Make it look like he will destroy the Saints.

Yeah. I don't get it either. He was a highly touted recruit and has played decent. Sure he transferred but it's not like he rod ethe bench. I don't agree with you much CNB, but I think Rattler will do well in the NFL with time and development.

In other news, PFF rates the Saints draft as an A+. Damn you, Loomis!!

When you screw up the personnel part of a team so badly that they need everything in the draft it is easy to get a A+

He spent nearly the entire season last year running for his life. Should be good training for the NFL.

I'm a Bears fan so I don't have to care about the NFL after week 3 so I don't know what the OL situation is in Nola.
