I think honestly this is good for all sides. Arky finds a coach willing to go there, and Kentucky gets a fresh start.
A year ago when we thought it was possible that UK would fire Cal and hire Muss I remember telling my buddy that I’d hire Cal if that happened. Wasn’t too far off.

Waiting for the videos of the moving trucks pulling out of Richmond Road. Kind of like the Browns moving to Baltimore.

There's no way anybody is happy about this on either end of this deal.

Calipari playing everyone at once.

It’s definitely the big name hire. So there is name recognition for the public to consume. The press conference will be grand. He’ll always be able to recruit.

Cal is also available because he didn’t work out in Kentucky. I wonder if any Arky posters are hesitant, or do they all support the hire 100%?

I’m hesitant. Hiring a coach past his prime. However, a change in scenery may revive cal. Who knows? It’s must see tv right now regardless.

I think he'll get y'all dancing regularly, at least. Then have a 18 win season in four years and retire

How long from the time of the press conference announcing Cal to Arkansas will it take for Ky to announce Oats to Ky.

Less than 48 hours?
More than 48 hours?
Asking for Oats wife.

I mean…from 2014-2024 he has a Final Four, 3 Elite Eights, 4 Sweet Sixteens, 4 SEC Regular Season Titles, 4 SEC Tournament Titles, and 9 NCAAt appearances.

I’ve spent years hating this guy. Took Archie Goodwin and Malik Monk from us (Will Wade style). Dissed us when he left Memphis (Lane Kiffin style). Now it feels like we are a last resort. Gonna take a while to wrap my head around this one.

That's part of the point. It's very much about the trend.

In the last five seasons he's never made it past the round of 32 with one of the most perennially talented teams in the country.

Wut.

Kentucky fans are good with this. No more $33 million dollar buyout or lifetime contract. It was time to move on.
