I saw that one, too. DH after our fiasco vs Purdue.I had had my tickets for about a year after they went on sale, obviously not knowing who'd play.Jim Nantz came on that Sunday with the selections and "#1 seed in the San Antonio Region, Texas will go to Birmingham and play UNC Ashville(?). They are paired with LSU and Purdue" Thought I'd won the lottery as that was the second line they shown. Pitiful game.

Hubby and I were fortunate enough to attend the SEC Tourney the last time is was in New Orleans (2003). Needless to say it was a GREAT time <G>

This year for the NCAA tourney, because Kentucky is pretty well locked to play their first two rounds at the Yum (aka the Bucket) in Louisville, we were able to get tickets, and get to go to the Big Dance for the first time!

Yeah, we played pretty poorly that weekend. Probably should have lost to Butler. I knew we were in big trouble when I saw Louisville roll over Blake Griffin and OU in the other bracket.

Stood in line for 7 hrs (completely blew off classes) at some store at either Cortana or the other mall on Florida--the older one, even for '81 (can't remember the store,I'm sure its been re-branded)as they had a 'ticketmaster' type thing in the back of the store in customer service. Awful seats, somewhere in the upper deck.

Day before the game a friend of mine's dad gave him 4 seats in the lower level.

The 1981 LSU team doesn't get near the love it should IMO, yea I'm old but that was the best LSU basketball team I have ever seen, just dominate

Macklin's finger not withstanding we had a 3 pt lead and Isiah Thomas was in foul trouble and Dale slowed it down late in the first half.

Then in the second half we couldn't throw one in the ocean. 18 pts.
