Just saw this.

He is 6'7" and got kicked out of a bar for being too drunk on one of the most crowded streets in America. Crazy that they seem to have no good leads. Hope he didn't walk down to the river.
Hope they find him alive and ok.

Riley Strain Body Found in Cumberland River
quote:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The parents of a missing University of Missouri student continued a desperate search to find their son after he was reportedly kicked out of a bar on Broadway and never made it back to his hotel.
Strain’s family told News 2 he was in town for a fraternity formal and had traveled with the group to Nashville before. On Saturday, they got a call from Strain’s fraternity brothers, alerting them that Strain had not been seen or heard from since Friday night, March 8.
According to a police report, Strain’s friends said he had been kicked out of Luke Bryan’s bar, Luke’s 32 Bridge, around 10 p.m. Friday. Strain’s mother, Michelle Whiteid, said she had FaceTimed with Strain just a few hours before and he acted normal. Strain’s fraternity brothers told the family Strain wasn’t at the Tempo Hotel when they returned. By Saturday morning, he still hadn’t made it back.

It’s not good that it’s been a few days already. Surely there is enough surveillance that they can piece together what happened. Hopefully, he’s okay and is alive and well.

Doesn't sound good. Prayers for all and hope he is found safe very soon.

Nashville is surprisingly safe too honestly…Hope for the best here

Looking at maps the bar he left is literally 2 blocks from the river. Seems pretty likely

I hope this is sarcasm.
Murder almost every night.

That's scary. Praying for him and his loved ones.

2nd and Broadway near the Cumberland River, yes
I actually don't think this is what happened now that I think harder about it. If it's a river you come up on, and you're drunk, you just lay down on the river walk benches and go to sleep for the night
I'm afraid he wandered southward and got into an abduction situation.

It has happened with other young men in Nashville, and elsewhere. I don't know if its a weird drunken phenomenon, but it does happen.

eh, I'd argue the opposite. There is definitely a seedy criminal element in Nashville that is bigger than most people realize.

Nashville PD releases surveillance footage showing missing 22-year-old Mizzou student Riley Strain. It's timestamped at 9:47 PM on Friday, March 8. Strain is stumbling through the intersection. This is believed to be the last time he was seen either on camera or in-person.

ETA: Replaced the original NPD tweet because this one does a better job of identifying the young man in question (red arrow)

I was hoping to wake up to some positive news this morning. Not good at all

circled is where he crossed in the video going towards the river, and Luke's bar is pinned. Looks like he was pretty lost.
eta: paperwasp corrected me on the street intersection. picture is updated.

He is absolutely wasted in that video….the way he walks, turns, almost falls, looks at those people then follows.
Also, his friends say he was kicked out around 10pm, but it’s 9:47pm in the video. I know the friends can be off, but to be that far from the bar and that drunk seems crazy.
I hope they find this young man alive, but 4 days missing is alarming
ETA: looks like his hotel, Tempo, was 6 blocks straight West of Luke’s bar. So he kinda walked the right distance, but the wrong direction

Check the Cumberland. I hate to say that but so many cases in cities where inebriated people go missing they find them in the nearest river.
4 days is a long time to be missing, especially at 6 ft 7 because that will stand out anywhere. Hope like hell they find him alive. I've been drunk on Broadway - no one should die for it.

I've also let drunk friends split up from the group, which was dumb. One time my buddy was trying to get some tail and stayed downtown when we all went back to east. He got no tail, and decided to take a scooter back to east where we were staying. Ended up wiping out, skinned his face up real bad, maybe chipped a tooth, possibly a concussion. He walked the rest of the way, a couple of miles at least, and was fine. We all laugh about it now, but bad shite can happen in those situations.

We teach our girls to stay together in situations like that bc something always happens when they split but honestly we need to teach our boys that too. If you're in a strange city, especially, stick together. Even if you're in a city you know - stick together.

That's weird, it looks they they're barely under 2 homicides a week. Some of those homicides may have been justified, thus not murders, but misrepresenting stats is never justified.
