The rules are different in the portal era. LSU wouldn't have the portal blues if they hired a young up and comer who would work for half of Kelly's $10+million/year. The price for players is only going to go up. Spend wisely.

Tennessee State Tigers defensive lineman Terrell Allen entered the NCAA transfer portal. Allen was a key ingredient to Eddie George's defense during the 2024 season.

The North Little Rock native earned the 2023 Buck Buchanan Award and Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Year after leading the FCS with 14.5 sacks and 28 tackles for loss. He also had 65 tackles, five forced fumbles, and ten quarterback hurries last season.

You say that like they grow on trees. Can you cite any examples of who that would have been when LSU was hiring? Be specific.

No. But, you could've gotten a good coach for much less than what you're paying Kelly. Kelly isn't an elite coach. Elite means rings. He ain't got 'em.

Once again, who? Give specific names of who LSU should have hired instead. It really shouldn't be that hard, right?

Neither is Deboer, but that didn't stop the Bama brass.

By your criteria, Ed O and Miles were elite coaches.

What happens when you pay that much for a coach with 2-3 years experience in D1?

Shaft is not a BAMA fan, and that of opinion of yours will be proven wrong over the next 3-4 years.

Les Miles was an elite coach at LSU. Maybe you need to pull out the guy's record and big games on YouTube and show more appreciation for the best HC LSU ever had. Eddie O was as elite as Gene Chizek. Enough said.

About half the posters on the rant are alters. It's really pathetic.

What's pathetic is watching fan bases talking and interacting with these alters like they belong on their team. The rant doesn't exactly have the sharpest knives in the kitchen.

Get mad if you want but the writing was on the wall with our NIL when Kiffin met Trey Amos in Tuscaloosa and took him. Amos was going to be our #1 DB this upcoming season. And, the DB from Houston wouldn't even visit us and he's now committed to Ole Miss. Deductive reasoning tells you what's going on.
