It ended up being a scam ran by a trashy Bama fan. Lot of sketchy behavior and many posters started getting their donations refunded by GoFundMe.
Believe the fan got banned for it, or at least disappeared and GoFundMe's are now against the rules.

Not sure if mentioned, and I don’t really know the guy, but “The Ocean” was a big bitch about losing his ban bet and never even took an hour off. Basically just said frick off to everyone in every thread for like a month.
