Then why does it say "#2 nationally" when LSU was #1 during the SEC championship?

Alabama and Georgia both lost to Auburn the other year. Georgia lost worse to Auburn, had a much easier schedule

If you actually believe Georgia had an easier schedule than Alabama in 2017, then you obviously only see through crimson colored glasses.

Your only 2 ranked SEC opponents were both SEC West Teams. Miss St and Auburn.

Obviously Alabama played them both in addition to others like #18 LSU.

Not a single one of your SEC East opponents were ranked, and only 3 were bowl eligible.

Tennessee: 4-8
Vandy: 5-7
Mizzou: 7-6
Florida: 4-7
South Caroline: 9-4
Kentucky: 7-6

36-38 overall, below .500

So yeah, easier schedule. And if you want to for some reason go beyond the SEC teams, your only other ranked team is #11 Notre Dame. But it's not part of the conference schedule.

And you lost to Auburn 17-40 while Alabama lost 14-26.

The only reason Georgia got the "mulligan" is because of divisions and Georgia being in the easy division. If Alabama had played in the East, they would have played in the SECCG.

Georgia was rewarded for an easier schedule and playing in an easier division.

Alabama played Tennessee and Vanderbilt. The 2 worst teams in the east that season. The west wasn't very good overall either. Plus Alabama played its usual ooc cupcake opponents.
An Alabama fan talking about anyone else getting a mulligan
Alabama is well known as Mulligan U.

4 of the 7 SEC West teams finished the season ranked, and the only 2 ranked SEC opponents Georgia faced were SEC West teams. And you lost 40-17 to Auburn.

Only 1 SEC West team failed to make a bowl game.

In 2018 Georgia not only got a mulligan to face Auburn again, you lost to yet another SEC West team you faced in the championship.

Georgia's record against the SEC West that year was 2-2 and only 2-2 instead of 1-2 because of your mulligan. And you were the best team the SEC East had to offer and the only one ranked.

You're an idiot.

Georgia only played auburn 1 time in 2018....and won.
Now who's the idiot?
2011 Alabama: Mulligan
2017 Alabama: Mulligan
2023 Alabama: Mulligan

I meant 2017, which you knew. But used a single typo to avoid the truth.

A mulligan means you get the play the same team over again, a do over. The only year that happened with Alabama was 2011.

The only team it happened for outside of that was 2017 Georgia and 2021 Georgia.

So if any team is the "Mulligan Team" it's Georgia.

Deal with it bitch.

And I don't even know what the frick you mean about 2023. I guess just butt hurt because Georgia got their shite pushed in on the line of scrimmage all game on both sides of the ball.

2023 Alabama begs to be let into the CFP over an undefeated FSU team.....then proceeds to get embarrassed by Michigan in the first round.
MULLIGAN!
Even TCU beat Michigan in the CFP.

It's not worse, it's just a product of the conference setup and divisions that aren't equal, not an indication of team strength, as I pointed out above. The conference championship loss is worse because it's a late season loss.

It’s worse/more lucky because y’all lost, then got to rest while the division champs didn’t, and still got the invite. Zero risk of a loss when you aren’t playing.

Still not a mulligan. You got the mulligan, Alabama got a bye.

Alabama didn't need the game to convince the committee they belonged. They were already in the top4.

Georgia on the other hand was ranked 6th and needed the mulligan to prove they belonged. Would have been Alabama and Auburn in the playoffs instead of Alabama and Georgia. And you were lucky Auburn's RB got injured against Alabama.

And then you lost to Alabama in the NCG.

Well if that's what Alabama did, then you have it to look forward to because all Georgia ever does is copy Alabama.

It was a bad FSU team that didn't belong and struggled to beat average teams. I don't give a shite they didn't make it, you can go join them in crying.

You're so damn butt hurt you've resorted to making shite up and bringing up games for opponents in past years.

Post another meme that's 20 years old, because you need to start fantasizing about me since you can't deal with reality.

Would you like a mulligan on this conversation? I'll be happy to push your shite in again.

Yep, and my point is that a bye is worse than a mulligan.

#2 AU had to play, and risk losing. #5 Bama got to Sit and watch Auburn lose.

Uga wasn’t going to lose against 4 q’s of a 2017 Jalen hurts team.

I'm not really sure why you would keep Georgia in the east when that is the team who's schedule was being compared, but ok we can still do this.

You wouldn't have faced 4 quarters of him then either.

Or do you for some reason believe coaches are more likely to change QB's at halftime in a championship game than a regular season game?

And btw, it wasn't just the QB that changed in the 2nd half. Georgia's offense was held to only 7 points for the entire 2nd half until they got a FG in OT.

Georgia was dominated on both sides of the ball for the 2nd half.

The reality is that Georgia has won more recent national championship(s) than Alabama.

How many players on Alabama's current roster have actually won a national championship? That is, not counting transfers from Georgia

Wonder who Kirby will copy now that Saban has retired.
