What a coach says in the locker room as well as the players should stay there. Whoever put that video of Orgeron after they beat Bama should be run out of football. It looks like Beamer was ok with this. And that was pretty tame for locker room talk. And good for them. Good win tonight. He seems to be getting USC back in the game.

For those that haven't seen the original, here it is.

Here's the deal, a bit cringy? Yes. But obviously the kids in the program are responding to it and having fun with it. Ultimately, that is all that matters. Both coaches are free to motivate their team anyway the see fit.

From sec media days

quote:

"I talked years ago about climate versus culture. It's easy to change a climate. You just change the uniforms, talk a little game, dance around and put on some stupid sunglasses and you can change a climate."

"But to change a culture is at the core, and I am quite certain that we have changed our culture. It's just who we are, and how we are perceived. You look around at some of the greatest coaches and the respect that you get and the respect that our players carry with them, because they know who they are."

Yeah that was pretty cringy. Just trying to picture Spurrier doing that back in the day. The game has changed.

Funny. Because I'm absolutely certain - I do mean absolutely positive - that this season has been nothing but typical, old school, step on the banana peel Kentucky Football.

Not eat the banana peel, Will Levis. Step on the peel. And its getting worse. Too much hype, too soon, on this team as well as the coaching staff.

Climate vs culture. Some folks get it, some do not. You can use fake juice, or climate, to win a game. But, after that game, that's all it was: Fake juice. Nothing has changed about your team, as a whole. In fact, you just reinforced something that has a negative impact upon culture.

To have a lasting success, one must build culture. Expectations. That doesn't come overnight. It can't be built by putting on the sunglasses and dancing in the locker room.

Congrats to Beamer, I guess? Big win, for sure, but I'm more interested in how this translates to building the culture of winning around USCe.

Currently, I'd pass on Beamer and hire Stoops, if those were my options. And I wouldn't even have to think about it.

And I do not like Stoops.

I did not realize UK caused this much seethe amongst South Carolina fans, aside from one in particular.

Somewhere, KSG is probably unconscious next to several empty bottles of Boones farm with nacho cheese smeared on his face

Maybe, but I lived through Mark Richt, the king of fake juice. Fake recognizes fake.

And Mark Richt was a relatively good coach. Certainly better than Donnan and Goof. But, he always needed that fake juice, and when it ran out, he sort of never knew what to do.
