Virtually no crime in my STL burb. Oh, maybe an expired license tag or 2.
Same holds for most burbs and actually much of the city. Everyone knows where most of the crime is in the city -- where gangs rule the roost. And the city has way too many cultural attractions to keep people away -- zoo, Botanical Garden, Muny Opera, museums, etc., all bustling with activity, many year-round. Also Busch Stadium (Cardinals), Enterprise Center (Blues and concerts).

I agree that Missouri as a state vs other SEC states is absolutely one of the better states to live in. Especially if you enjoy the outdoors.
Make me wonder, what are the worst states?
Alabama and Miss schools all have to be the worse places to live. Although LSU and Louisiana might be #1??? Oh, and we also have Oklahoma??
Tennessee is nice. Texas is nice. Florida is nice to great. Even Georgia can be nice. Missouri is nice, especially Ozarks.

Technically Florida would have MO beat by discharge but Florida’s are all under rivers and lakes where they can’t be seen. They’re also warmer so probably no trout fishing.
