That was a great look last night. Reminded me of how ya'll looked when I was growing up.

Was this a one game thing or permanent.

I wish it was permanent. But it was part of all the Chucky Mullins stuff for 25th anniversary of that sad day against Vandy

I wasn't a fan of the powder blue lids*

*this is coming from a Spurs fan who thinks the retro teal/orange/magenta logo is the bee's knees, and so is a big fat hypocrite on this matter

Big fan of the reason they were worn, though.

I thought they were as ugly as homemade sin. I did appreciate the reason behind them though.

I thought they were FAF. I wish they'd keep wearing them.

Why were they for Chucky? I thought I saw pics of "38" helmets as far as the eye could see. How is the powder blue for him?

those are the helmets we wore when he played. 38 helmets were ruled "illegal" anyways so we went with this.

Ok, thanks. I suspected this but I didn't see 457 threads about it so...

They look like the old school Houston Oiler lids.

Yes I'm serious. That's what they looked like back in the day. I think it's a great look.

I seriously doubt they ever intended on wearing the 38 helmets. They wore them in warm ups. It was a ploy so nobody would anticipate the powder blues.
