Tomorrow is the presentation for the project. Any ideas here? I'm personally hoping for a Thomas Hart Benton style mural of the burning of Lawerance.

Maybe Claire McCaskil will show up to ask them to bring back the Rock M!

i'm 90% sure it will include massive disappointment and be completely underwhelming.

How about we melt down that web foot thing and put up a statue of Dan Devine.

Start with firing DLR, hiring Populous and starting over.

That would be a good start.

Renderings look great. Wasn’t it rumored that they might tear down Hearnes and add something to “enhance the Gameday experience” as part of this project too?

I find myself neither disappointed nor underwhelmed. This is an odd feeling for a Mizzou fan.

Nothing about Hearnes yet. But I do get the impression in CoMo that it's days are numbered.

I think that is in the master plan, not the NEZ project. The NEZ project is a part of the master plan, too.

I like it.
Keeping the M is really cool. I thought it would be gone. Building new facilities for recruiting is not something I was expecting.

This will make our facilities nicer than a lot schools in the SEC. Some of the old stadiums don’t have room to grow and improve and if the want to make major improvements it’s going to cost more than $250 million. Arkansas finished their $160 improvements in 2018. Last year when my friend took his son on visits he said KState’s were better and Mizzou’s is a lot nicer than Arkansas’s.

If done correctly the improvements they are making for tailgating may be the most important. Improving tailgating will make for a better game day experience. Getting fans to all the games is just as important as improvements to the stadium.

FWIW Dept: I often walk around and thru the stadium during the week for exercise, the lower bowl steps are perfect for this. Last couple of times there have been guys in hard hats taking notes.

Observation: wouldn't the grassy terrace off the southeast corner be a great place for a statuary park? Devine, Werli, Winslow, Kadlec, Stevenson, and so many others over the years.
